Decision Desk HQ counts and reports votes. In 2016 we became the first organization to successfully compete with the Associated Press to collect, analyze, and report election night in over 50 years. In addition to being the first organization to declare Donald Trump the winner of key states, DDHQ Executive Director Brandon Finnigan was the first election night analyst to call the 2016 presidential election for Republican Donald Trump. Finnigan made his call on the Buzzfeed/Twitter election night webcast (watched by over 6 million viewers). In addition to our election night coverage, we provide daily campaign and election news and analysis at https://decisiondeskhq.com. The Decision Desk HQ’s proprietary results collection and reporting technology, combined with a diverse stable of political and election experts enable us to speed the collection and reporting of accurate election results at any level from presidential to local school board. Our investment in technology also enables us to distribute results quickly and in a variety of ways opening up the opportunity to have our results carried as widely as possible to sites large and small. Results are made available free to sites on an ad-based model as well as via a customizable subscription-based plan.

So excited that this has come together, and for what it could bring in the future: Decision Desk HQ will partner with the Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy for 2024. We'll set up shop at GU's Capitol Campus, right in the midst of McCourt's incredible community, and use our vote-collection and race-call work to provide learning and intern opps for the students. Strengthening democracy starts with transparency and teaching about how it all really works, and these are the ultimate nuts and bolts. Huge thanks to Maria Cancian Leslie Evertz Sharon Mar Meredith Hanley Mo Elleithee -- may this be just the start of something bigger and even more meaningful.
