We're so excited to share this overview showing the many successes that came out of the the inaugural Queer Media Sustainability Lab that David Arkin co led with Local Media Association's Penny Riordan 🌈✨ The two led six LGBTQ+ publishers through a year-long program that resulted in significant revenue and audience growth. The lab, funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, provided technology grants and monthly training sessions on topics that many attendees implemented throughout the program. We're thrilled that almost all of the publishers launched or rebooted their reader revenue strategies, implemented SEO improvements and drove new revenue through branded content. We were so thankful to participate in the Lab and get to work with such amazing publishers!
