Here's how I landed offers from Meta, DoorDash, and other top tech companies: 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟭: 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿 The interview lasts about 30 minutes. The recruiter will ask about your experience to ensure you fit the role well. 𝗠𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗽 💡: Prepare a 30-second pitch about yourself, highlighting your relevant experience and why you want to join the company. Be sure to mention all relevant skills, such as SQL, Python, and A/B testing. 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟮: 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 The next round is the technical interview, where they'll test your SQL knowledge. Make sure you’ve mastered this language! 𝗠𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗽 💡: Sign up on the Dataford website and start practicing across all these 6 topics → Basic Functions → Ratios → Ranking → Window Functions → Percentile → Text Analysis 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟯: 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲-𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀!) I really hate when companies ask for this. 𝗠𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗽 💡: If they do, make sure they pay you for your time—your time is super valuable. 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟰: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗻-𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 You will get to meet 4-5 people, ~45 min each: → 1 SQL Interview → 2-3 problem solving (i.e case studies) → 1 behavioral round 𝗠𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗽 💡: → Practice business sense frameworks because they'll ask open-ended questions to assess your problem-solving skills.  → Read up on the company values for your behavioral interview → At Dataford, we’ve got a list of interview questions from experts to help you prepare. And last but not least, 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗚𝗢𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦! ♻ Repost if you find this useful

This is the resume that got me a job offer at Meta, and here are 9 tips to help enhance yours: 1) Don’t repeat yourself: Mention SQL once and save room for other important details. 2) Talk about people: Highlight experience with cross-functional teams. 3) Talk about impact: Explain why your work matters. 4) Keep it simple: Make your resume inviting and easy to read 5) Experience > Completion. Mention unfinished projects, it's fine! 6) Use strong words. 7) Simplify job titles for clarity. 8) Speak Data. Use technical vocabulary to show your expertise. 9) Important Experience > Every experience. Focus on the most relevant roles. Remember that getting an interview is a numbers game: resume quality * applications = total interviews. If you apply with a blank resume, you can expect zero responses. That is why it's important to invest in your resume's quality before sending out applications. I partnered with Stefanie, Ex-Recruiter at Google, Nvidia, and Apple to boost your resume to help you land more interviews. Comment if you want to join, and I'll send over the link to register! Only 3 spots left!

I'll help you become a better analyst | Product Manager @ Maven Analytics | YouTube @ Matt Mike

Interviewing is often the HARDEST part of the job hunt. But there's a catch-22 with interviewing. It's one of the hardest skills to develop. Why? Because often the only context for developing this skill is during a live interview or a mock interview with peers (but not everyone has this resource). Making knowing HOW to interview difficult. This is why I love Dataford's new Interview Hub. It's a collection of recorded mock interviews with experts from companies like Google, Amazon, and Meta. These give an insider view into how established data professionals in tech answer challenging but realistic interview questions. It's an incredible resource. I've never seen anything like it. They've put a ton of work into building out this feature for their premium users. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/dd_4rV5w PS - Share your top interviewing tip below 👇
