We’re excited to welcome Emma Goodman to our growing Dancing Classrooms New York City Board of Directors! Emma is a Director at Third Sector, a national nonprofit consulting firm that partners with government agencies to create more data-driven, outcomes-focused, and equitable social services. In this role, Emma has guided over 25 agencies in more than 10 states to transform health, education, workforce, and housing programs. She has collaborated with both government and nonprofit organizations to launch new initiatives, including a housing assistance program for adults with justice system involvement in Pennsylvania and the first higher education-focused Social Impact Bond in the U.S. to increase degree completion for underserved students in Ohio. Emma has also led efforts to improve youth mental health services in California, managing a six-county collaborative focused on redesigning outpatient mental health services, and currently leading the state’s efforts to develop guidance on coordinating care across schools and mental health providers. Passionate about the arts, Emma designed and led a visual art-based support program at a community mental health center and played classical clarinet for over 10 years with orchestras across the country. She is also an avid salsa dancer and enjoys building connections through social dance. Thank you for your service, Emma!

What an amazing night of friends, fun, and flamenco! When a Kindergartener and high schooler strut their stuff, dancing on stage, you can feel the power of #danceeducation and #socialdance at work! Then the incomparable teaching artist and dancer Yloy Ybarra led us all through a mini #flamenco class - it’s a night to remember! Consider a gift of any size to support our Dancing With Rhythms & Stories and all of our programs for K-12 students at https://lnkd.in/emWPwj-h. #artseductaion #dancingclassrooms #powerofdance #nycarts
