About us

The Cumberland County Emergency Management Agency (CCEMA) supports the disaster preparedness of our county; communication and coordination of emergency services before, during, and after a disaster; development of contingency and preparedness plans; and providing education on how to prepare for and reduce the effects of disasters. The Cumberland County Emergency Management Agency (CCEMA) is an independent department of the county government, reporting to the County Commissioners through the County Manager. Our mission is to provide Cumberland County residents, local municipal governments, businesses and industries, and non-profit organizations the education and support necessary to build, sustain, and improve the capability to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from all types of disasters through a comprehensive, risk-based, all-hazard emergency management program. The Cumberland County Emergency Management Agency has a variety of emergency management response teams that play key roles during disasters. These teams are made up of highly skilled and trained volunteers. For more information about CCEMA, please contact our office.
