Please join us in welcoming Sam Pierce to the team as our new Office Administrator. Based in our new North Andover headquarters, but providing support across all C3 office locations, Sam is going to have his capable hands full! Originally a NH native, Sam spent close to 7 years on the west coast in Washington and Oregon before recently returning to New England. In Oregon, Sam provided top notch support to a real estate firm in the area. As a matter of fact, Sam was so dedicated to his position at the firm that he went through the process to become a licensed real estate broker to be able to better communicate and support the 100+ realtors at the company. We are excited to have Sam on our team and look forward to his presence in the company.

C3 is proud to be working with Winn Development and the New England Home for the Deaf (NEHD) in the development of 120 new construction units for NEHD that will be an expansion of the already on-site 55+ community located at 154 Water Street in Danvers. The NEHD was originally incorporated in 1901 and had two renowned board members: Helen Keller and her teacher/interpreter Ann Sullivan. Today the NEHD offers a variety of services for deaf, deaf/blind, and hard-of-hearing seniors (55 and older). The new development will serve to relieve their current 3-5 year wait list for independent living on the campus, and we’re pleased to report that 50% of the total number of units will be designated affordable.

Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey announced funding awards to support the development of 26 significant affordable housing communities statewide, including plans by the New England Homes for the Deaf to build 116 mixed-income, apartment homes for seniors who are deaf, deaf/blind and near deaf on NEHD’s longtime campus in Danvers. NEHD Board Chairman Stephen L. Sacco and his staff hosted the governor’s announcement, welcoming a happy crowd of officials from a variety of housing organizations whose plans earned state support. WinnDevelopment is serving as NEHD’s partner on the Danvers project and is expected to begin construction later in 2025. You can read more about the new funding awards here: https://lnkd.in/d6NsvyEK

Our first of three panel discussions around the Changing Learning Environment was a great success. This first panel discussion focused on spatial and technological changes and implications. Below is it detailed recap of some of the things we discussed. Special thanks to our panelists Nico Flannery-Pitcher, IIDA, NCIDQ, EDAC, Britt Collins, Paula Davoli Ziegenbein, Assoc. IALD, LEED AP, LC, our amazing moderator Amy Hill and our sponsor Rollease Acmeda Contract. CUBE 3 - CSL Consulting, LLC - Hartranft Lighting Design - Workflow - Apex Lighting + Building Solutions - In the wake of COVID-19, the landscape of education and the learning environment has undergone a significant transformation, integrating both spatial and technological advancements to adapt to new challenges and opportunities is imperative. 🚀 **Spatial Changes** *Flexible Learning Spaces* Classrooms are no longer confined to traditional settings. Hybrid models allow for a blend of in-person and remote learning, enabling students to learn from anywhere. *Outdoor Learning* Embracing the outdoors, many institutions have created outdoor classrooms to enhance safety and provide a refreshing change from conventional indoor settings. *Reconfigured Classrooms* Social distancing protocols have led to rethinking classroom layouts. Desks are spaced out, and collaborative areas are redesigned to facilitate both group work and individual learning while maintaining safety. **Technological Changes** *Enhanced Digital Tools* The rapid adoption of learning management systems (LMS), virtual classrooms, and collaboration tools like Zoom and Microsoft Teams has revolutionized how education is delivered. *Artificial Intelligence and Analytics* AI-driven platforms are providing personalized learning experiences, helping educators track student progress and tailor instructions to meet individual needs. *Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR)* These immersive technologies are making learning more interactive and engaging, offering virtual field trips and hands-on simulations that were previously unimaginable. *Adaptive Lighting* Modern classrooms are now equipped with smart lighting systems that adjust brightness and color temperature to enhance focus, reduce eye strain, and create a conducive learning environment. *Advanced Audio-Visual Systems* High-definition projectors, interactive whiteboards, and surround sound systems have become standard, ensuring clear communication and engaging presentations. *Hybrid AV Solutions* Classrooms are increasingly equipped with cameras, microphones, and speakers designed to support seamless hybrid learning, allowing remote students to participate fully and interact with in-person peers. The post-COVID era has shown us that education is not confined to four walls or a single way of teaching. By embracing these spatial and technological changes, we are paving the way for a more dynamic, inclusive, and resilient learning environment. 🌟

Thanks to New England Real Estate Journal for their recent project update about The Beck, a 290-unit, mixed-use project we’re working on with The Procopio Companies in Haverhill, MA. The project is now watertight and proceeding with interior fit-out and façade finalization. The weather-tight status comes as other substantial development milestones take place, including the start of construction on the new 1.4-acre public waterfront park, and the implementation of roadway improvements as a part of a $1.95 million MassWorks grant. Read more: https://lnkd.in/efvinUph The Beck will feature 6,000 s/f of retail and restaurant space and amenities that will include a fitness center, sports lounge, and outdoor space with a pool, fire pit, patio, and barbecue area. Additionally, The Beck will feature a riverside boardwalk leading to a public park featuring a playground, splashpad, and dog park, as well as bike lane paths that will lead to commuter routes and the riverfront Bradford Rail Trail. Thanks to Dellbrook | JKS for sharing these incredible photos. Also in partnership with H+O Structural Engineering
