This week, our residents and staff had the pleasure of celebrating #NationalSkilledNursingCareWeek (formerly known as Nursing Home Week!). Come along with us for the day to see how we spent our week! 😍 This years theme: Radiant Memories, a Tribute to the Golden Age of Radio! Day #1 kicked off with a “War of the Worlds” listening party, where our community had the chance to hear that iconic radio broadcast together. 📻 🎶

In 1978, President Jimmy Carter established September 28th as a national day for promoting understanding between people and building stronger communities. Today, National Good Neighbor Day is celebrated every year on the same date and is marked by neighbors sharing food and fun to encourage bonding and a sense of community. Crystal Lake joined in the festivities this year by bringing a little “Autumn Cheer” to their neighbor’s doorsteps. Our Administrator teamed up with the Admission’s Director and Receptionist to purchase beautiful mums and went door to door to deliver them to the surrounding homes. We hope our fellow Berkeley township community members felt the love from the staff and residents of Crystal Lake.

Held every year during the second full week of September, International Housekeepers and Environmental Services Week is a week dedicated to recognizing the efforts of hard-working custodial staff members. As the week is coming to a close, Crystal Lake would like to recognize a pivotal part of our staff...Our Housekeeping Department! Check out our pictures to find out how we spoiled our team. We sure hope you all felt appreciated, not just this week, but all year long. We truly would be a mess without you!
