Six months ago, we partnered with a food and beverage manufacturer based in North Carolina. Due to rapid market growth and rising product demand, they needed help expanding their workforce with precision on a tight timeline. Here’s what they told us: 📌 We need to expand our engineering department by 30%. 📌 We need 1 Maintenance Manager, 1 Maintenance Manager, 3 senior engineers and 7 technicians. 📌 We can’t settle for candidates who aren’t technically qualified or a true cultural fit. 📌 We have 3-6 months before this goes beyond mission-critical. The challenge was clear: scale rapidly while finding top-tier, specialized talent. We know from experience that balancing volume with precision is no small feat. Enter our recruitment team, led by Michael. Here’s how we tackled it: ✏️ We crafted a tailored recruitment plan, knowing these matters require a calculated and precise approach. ✏️ We scheduled a myriad of interviews, ensuring candidates met both technical and cultural criteria along with industry knowledge. ✏️ Despite the difficulty, we secured senior-level talent before finalizing the technician team. In less than four months, we successfully expanded their engineering department, playing a pivotal role in the growth of the company. We are now their preferred recruiting firm, fulfilling their staffing needs nationwide. Here are some significant stats from the project: ☑️ We submitted the winning candidate for a Manufacturing Engineer within four days. ☑️ We placed a Controls Engineer within two months. ☑️ We filled the Maintenance Manager role in less than three weeks. ☑️ For Maintenance Techs, we’ve submitted 28 candidates, with 18 interviews and 8 offers since mid-December. Our work impacts the trajectories of businesses and the careers of those behind them. That’s why we’re always committed to placing the right people in the right seats, ensuring future success for all. #hiring #recruiting #jobplacement #careeropportunities #humanresources #staffingfirm #crossresourcegroup

The "war for talent" has been heating up recently, and it’s a whole new ball game. Candidates now have more power than ever, demanding higher salaries, better benefits, and flexible working arrangements. The days of the rigid 8-to-5, Monday-to-Friday job are fading. Our clients have adjusted creatively and offer more dynamic work setups to attract and keep the best candidates. The theme has been about meeting the modern workforce where they are. We noticed this shift after 9/11. Initially, there was a big drop in jobs, leading to a surplus of candidates. As things settled and the market grew again, we hit a candidate shortage. It's been a constant rollercoaster of supply and demand. COVID-19 brought another wave of change. The job market shrank, but companies showed real grit, pushing through and still creating jobs even in tough circumstances. Over the past 20 years, businesses have become more resilient, learning to weather recessions and downturns with impressive perseverance. In this ever-changing landscape, we encourage our clients to stay flexible and open-minded. Those companies that can adapt to these new expectations will have the edge in securing the talent they need. It’s all about staying competitive and ensuring growth and stability in a market that’s constantly in flux. #hiring #recruiting #jobplacement #careeropportunities #humanresources #staffingfirm #crossresourcegroup

In a post-COVID world, many candidates have transitioned to seeking remote work opportunities. Our firm utilizes digital communication tools to stay connected. Even still, the importance of in-person interactions cannot be overstated. Most of our team works from home, with only a few reporting to our headquarters in Anna or the Bryan office. Regardless, it is true that maintaining a strong sense of connectedness is critical to thrive as a team. This is why in-person interactions remain critical for our success. That's why we host quarterly culture meetings. These gatherings allow us to physically come together, discuss our business, address our strengths and weaknesses, and develop strategies for improvement. Being in the same room fosters a sense of unity and helps us refine our processes, ensuring we work more effectively as a team. These touchpoints are vital, especially since our day-to-day interactions are predominantly virtual. We also recognize the efforts of our CARE team in keeping everyone engaged and supported. They ensure our remote employees feel connected, appreciated, and trusted. By prioritizing the needs of our team and incorporating flexibility into their workday, we’ve created an environment where everyone feels valued. We encourage our clients to foster the same culture to increase employee retention and attract culture-aligned candidates. Balancing regular virtual communication with periodic in-person meetings helps us maintain a strong, cohesive team, no matter where we are working from. #hiring #recruiting #jobplacement #careeropportunities #humanresources #staffingfirm #crossresourcegroup

The right people make all the difference. It's crucial for firms to prioritize culture and merit-based hiring, ensuring the right fit for both the job and the company. This approach not only preserves the company’s legacy but also respects the dignity of candidates. Connecting the right people is essential. Over the last 18 years, refined processes and key relationships have empowered our clients to thrive. With time being precious, a comprehensive candidate search is indispensable, allowing firms to focus on what they do best. We’ll search far and wide for the right candidate so you don’t have to.

"Jimmy walks in the door one day and says, I think I'm going to quit my job" That's what ignited the process of building Cross Resource Group. Lana bought a program and taught herself how to build a business plan. They surrounded themselves with wise council, and praying people. Since inception, the company’s growth year over year, under Lana's ownership and direction, is inspirational. Initially utilizing her ability to multitask in all areas of the company gradually led way to the hiring of exemplary internal employees. As co-founder and CEO of Cross Resource Group, Jimmy uses this resourcefulness to engage with people in business and dream big for the organization. They've been leading Cross in faith since 2006! #hiring #recruiting #jobplacement #careeropportunities #humanresources #staffingfirm #crossresourcegroup

I recently read The Dream Manager by Matthew Kelley. After hearing about it in C12 and Jimmy Hamilton encouraging me to read it, I picked it up. What Kelley shares through his book is that Dreams are essential to human progress and everyone has dreams. Even your employees! But, being in the business of people, it is vital to really see people and where they are wanting to go, not just in their job. Knowing truly who you work with grows culture as well as retention. Kelley calls us to action by saying that in order to help people around us be dreamers, we also have to be dreamers. So upon reflection, I realized that I SUCK at dreaming. I make goals occasionally but rarely do I sit and dream on what could be. Anybody else? So, do you know what your employees', peers', leaders', your dreams are? How can you encourage them to achieve their dreams? Please share with me, I'd love to hear!
