Our team in Skensved, Denmark, was excited to welcome Tate & Lyle CEO Nick Hampton to the plant to tour the production facilities, speak to employees and sample foods and beverages featuring our ingredients! The site employees enjoyed the opportunity to meet Nick and introduce him to this important site in CP Kelco. #GrowingTogether
Last week we welcomed Didier Viala, the CEO of CP Kelco to our HQ in London and this week he welcomed me to CP Kelco's plant in Denmark - one of the largest of its kind in the world! It was exciting to see how pectin, carrageenan and refined locust bean gum is manufactured and to try some chocolate milk (carrageenan), a fruit-flavored drink (citrus fiber), ice cream (citrus fiber) and fortified gummies (pectin) made in their impressive innovation centre. CP Kelco’s and Tate & Lyle’s food scientists have so much to learn from each other as we combine to become a stronger partner for our customers in the food and beverage industry. It was impressive to see the level of process automation and technical knowledge that the operations team put into producing pectin for so many customer applications, and the focus on more sustainable production. During a townhall I also got some great questions about the potential of our combination and am excited by the passion everyone showed for our future together during my visit. "MANGE TAK" (working on learning more Danish!) to everyone for the warm welcome. Great to meet you all! #ScienceSolutionsSociety #PurposeLedGrowth #Innovation
