  • The young people at Covenant House Florida recently had the opportunity to visit the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Miami. They enjoyed exploring the new paleontology lab exhibit as well as interacting with sting rays. The day ended with participating in flight and space simulations. It was a fun day of learning for all! Special thanks to CHF Supporter Stu Elliot for accompanying the youth and making this educationally enriching experience happen. #youth #supporteducation #science #explore

  • Covenant House Florida in Orlando recently welcomed members of Fleet DJs who treated our youth to some pizza and snacks, and took our Wishlist for distribution to all of their members. • Covenant House Florida was so pleased to welcome recently the members of Ladies in Pursuit of Success (LiPs). They hosted a CHOPPED event where young people collaborated to create a 3 course meal in hopes to wow the judges with their presentation and flavors! A great job was done by all, and a big congratulations to the winners! LiPs is a group of positive, professional, and passionate women who are on the rise in their pursuit of success while giving back to their community. #culinary #youth #chopped #ladiesinpursuitofsuccess

  • This past weekend, Pineapple Healthcare, @Abrigando Corazones Inc, and Self-Help Federal Credit Union joined forces to bring an educational event and resources to the youth at the Covenant House Florida’s Orlando Resource Center. Our young people were treated to a financial literacy class and pop-up closet in addition to receiving food, clothing, hygiene products, and gift cards. We also received a brand new computer for our workforce development program where youth can work on their resumes and job search. Pineapple HealthCare signed up youth for free health care and donated several large boxes of towels and washcloths for the Fort Lauderdale shelter services. Thanks to Anna V. Eskamani, PhD and her team for collecting donations for this event.
