Meet one of OC Public Works’ new employees, Bear. Bear is a recently USDA trained detector dog for our Agricultural Commissioner’s office (under the leadership of County Commissioner Jose Arriaga) as part of a pilot program to safeguard our agricultural resources by detecting non-native species and harmful pests. My team provided support by completing a contract for Veterinary and Kennel Services to ensure that Bear gets the appropriate treatment as a valued employee.
