This prestigious national recognition was earned amidst strong competition. Newsweek analyzed a total of 12,273 nursing homes across the U.S., evaluating each on five critical criteria: performance data, peer recommendations, management of the COVID-19 situation, resident satisfaction, and accreditations. Out of those 12,000+ facilities analyzed nationwide, Country Manor landed in Minnesota's TOP THREE and in the nation's TOP 5%! What an honor! We recently had the pleasure of welcoming back students from the Sartell High School who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare! 💙 We planned a day FULL of hands-on experiences and meaningful interactions across our campus.... 📕 They began the day with a sit down with our Dementia Care Specialist for a 'Working with Dementia' Training. 🌀 From there, they toured Champion Rehab, and explored various therapy equipment, including the HydroWorx warm water pool. 💪 After exercising their brains, they got to exercise their bodies, joining in on an East Commons resident fitness class. 🧒 From there, they joined students from Kids Country for some intergenerational programming. Watching all ages come together was so priceless. 🎲 And they concluded the experience with some quality time with residents, chatting over games and crafts. It was such a fun day from start to finish, and we are so honored to help these aspiring healthcare professionals explore and develop their passion! #FutureNurses #ADayInTheLife #CommunityPartnerships

A glimpse into our 2024 Staff Service Awards. If you aren't familiar, these annual awards recognize employee longevity and honor their ongoing commitment to our mission. This year's honorees have collectively devoted over 460 years to enriching lives at Country Manor. While this is an important event every year, this year's ceremony, which was led by our beloved CEO, Brian Kelm, now holds an even more profound significance as it became one of the last joyous occasions we shared with him before his unexpected passing. One by one, staff were applauded as they accepted their milestone awards, and their supervisors shared messages of gratitude and stories of their time at Country Manor. In addition to leading the ceremony, this year, Brian was also among the award recipients, and honored for his 35 years of dedicated leadership. In what we now cherish as divine timing, it was truly a gift that we were given this final opportunity to celebrate together, and so freely express our appreciation for one another. This video says it all. Brian's deep love for our team and unwavering dedication to Country Manor shines through in every moment. And we are so thankful we have these words to hold on to. We know this video is longer than our usual posts, but as this was our last celebration with Brian, we wanted to honor it as he deserved. Though he wouldn't have sought such public praise, we're grateful for this chance to celebrate him. It is with immense sadness and heavy hearts that Country Manor announces the passing of our esteemed CEO, Brian Kelm, who passed away unexpectedly on 5/18/2024. Country Manor is a family, and we deeply grieve the loss of our friend and leader of 35 years. Brian Kelm was a visionary leader whose commitment and passion for serving others, particularly through his work at Country Manor, profoundly impacted our organization and the communities we serve. Brian was instrumental in the creation of Country Manor’s mission of enriching lives. In this time of mourning, we offer assurance that Country Manor remains in capable hands. Under Brian’s leadership, Country Manor’s Senior Executive Team has worked together for over two decades. Collectively, The Senior Executive Team has over 100 years of experience serving Country Manor. Our commitment to our organization’s vision and values will remain at the forefront of everything we do, just as it always has. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Brian’s family during this incredibly difficult time. Brian will be intensely missed, but his legacy will live on through all of us.
