Juneteenth serves as a commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States and is a time to reflect on the struggles and resilience of African Americans throughout history. It is celebrated with community gatherings, parades, educational activities, and cultural events that honor the heritage and achievements of African Americans while promoting unity and equality for all. In 2021, Juneteenth was officially recognized as a federal holiday, further highlighting its importance in American history. Happy Juneteenth!
