Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is in emergency need of all blood types. The community blood supply is the lowest it’s been in more than two years, and we need your help to ensure local patients have the blood they need. CBCO is the sole, non-profit blood provider for local hospitals in the Ozarks, which means this critical emergency is impacting local hospitals and local patients. But we can’t do it alone. We rely on the support of generous blood donors in the communities we serve to ensure a strong blood supply. Area hospitals and patients need you TODAY! Did you know that more than 40 percent of local blood donations come from student-led blood drives? Over the past few weeks, more than 400 students, teachers and faculty members from 47 school districts attended CBCO leadership workshops, where they learned tips about hosting blood drives at their high schools. We saw lots of familiar faces — and excited to meet so many first-timers who are passionate about improving their communities. The future is looking bright! Thank you to everyone who attended — we're excited to see what you all have planned for this year!
