Incredible news, friends. 💛 We are thrilled to share that Community Action has officially completed our $3.55 million Home for Head Start campaign! Over the past two years, this project has created bigger, brighter new spaces for children to learn, play, and grow at our Head Start center located at 1821 K Street. In just a few short weeks a new program year will begin. We can't wait to welcome children and families to start the new school year in in a space designed specifically to support their success. We have more exciting news to share soon! But for right now let us say this: Thank you. You made this possible. You've built a space for high quality early childhood education that will benefit children and families for generations to come. As fearless friends of Community Action, YOU make our community a place where we all have the opportunity to live well. Thank you.

There's nothing better than a visit from a dear friend! 🌱Beatty Brasch served as Executive Director of Community Action (then known as Lincoln Action Program) from 1987-2002. It's no exaggeration to say Beatty transformed our agency--and the Lincoln community--for the better. 🌿Under Beatty's leadership, Community Action grew from 14 employees to 200, and countless anti-poverty programs were launched to provide more opportunities for everyone in our community to live well. 🌳We would not be the agency we are today without Beatty. What an honor to give her a tour of our Head Start center at 1821 K Street! Thank you, Beatty, for your fearless commitment to your community. We are so much better for knowing you. #LNK #nonprofit #leadership #fearless #nonprofitleadership

This ROCK STAR team of Community Action staff stepped up big time to help with meal service at the Gathering Place last night! We truly have the best team The Gathering Place continues to set records. In May, we served over 5,600 meals.
