It was an honor to host Opal Lee and her granddaughter Dione Sims today. Their wisdom, insight and grace are an inspiration.
Comagine Health’s Racial & Social Justice Business Engagement Team is hosting a lunch & learn session right now with Opal Lee, the “Grandmother of the federal Juneteenth holiday”. I am so impressed by Opal’s passion, commitment, and her straightforward practicality that is evident in her activism even at 97 years young. A few minutes ago in the Q&A discussion, Opal said “We have been taught to hate; we can learn to love.” What a powerful and hopeful message for all of us!
