Columbus Jobs Foundation was created by a group of business and civic leaders in early 2015 to “tell and sell” the many attributes that make Columbus County an ideal location for business and industry. Future I-74 runs through the heart of Columbus. The county is only minutes from Wilmington and Myrtle Beach, and there is countywide water, good sewer infrastructure, rail service, access to the state port in Wilmington, natural gas, and a top-notch community college. The Columbus Jobs Foundation works with county government to create local incentive packages for new business and industry. It has a revolving loan fund for start-ups. The Columbus Jobs Foundation owns Southeast Regional Park, a 165-acre industrial park adjacent to U.S. 74-76 and Southeastern Community College.
