The College of American Pathologists (CAP) is the premier organization of board-certified pathologists dedicated to fostering and advocating excellence in the practice of pathology and laboratory medicine worldwide. The majority of the CAP's roughly 600 employees are based at the organization's headquarters in suburban Chicago (Northfield, Illinois), with around 30 staff members working at the Washington, DC, satellite office.
