Last night at Civic Cocktail, we didn't just talk about effectively communicating across political divides - we put it in action! An impactful panel discussion featuring Dave Martine, Andrea Cohen, Julia L. Carboni, PhD, and Ron Muzzall, along with Seattle CityClub board member and Civic Genius ED Jillian Youngblood, set the stage. Bonus was being able to hang out with Maria Drury, CFRE! Attendees engaged in a "Citizens Assembly" activity, diving into the topic of housing in small groups. Stories were shared, differences respectfully listened to, and yes, even some fish were yeeted (Seattle Kraken fans, you know!). Stay tuned for the video from this event!

The top question I get is, "What is The Collective?" My answer is usually the elevator pitch: We are a social club and co-working space in the heart of South Lake Union. We host 30-45 events a month, ranging from live music and BBQs on the patio to low-key happy hours centered around connections. This is a space where people come to find their friends and meet new ones. But The Collective is more than that. To me, The Collective is a vibrant community where creativity, collaboration, and connection thrive. It's a place where you can work with the best tools and spaces at your disposal, from desktop monitors to cozy nooks that boost productivity. It's an incredible space where you can find instantaneous connections with our community of like-minded and wonderfully kind people.
