  • ORDER UP SOME ‘84 ON A PLATE WITH  OUR FIVE NEW SPECIALS While 1984 certainly had some questionable tastes (no one looked good with a Flock of Seagulls cut), there’s no questioning how good our new Alamo Time Capsule 1984 specials taste. Available at any show from 7/01 - 9/01, this limited-time menu features flavors ripped from some of our favorite films from ‘84, including the Luck Dragon Pizza inspired by THE NEVERENDING STORY, Pyrokinetic Popcorn inspired by FIRESTARTER, the Masked Kale-er Salad inspired by BODY DOUBLE (also available as a wrap), the Footloose and Fancy Free mocktail inspired by FOOTLOOSE, and the Don’t Fall Asleep cocktail inspired by A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/ewPTfcGg

    Director of Operations

We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Calvin Harriott to General Manager at our Woodbridge location. Calvin joined the company in May of 2017, making him a real Cojeaux “OG” and has been around for the building of all our locations including the Covid Drive Thru theater.   Calvin has a ton of hospitality experience from serving to GM, quick casual to fine dining. He was born in Jamaica and spent his early years there before immigrating to the US. Calvin also attended Virginia Tech where he was a member of the wrestling team.  When Calvin is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family which includes his wife Liz, 3 sons (with a set of twins) Calvin, Grant, & Xavier and his brand-new baby girl Aubrey. His hands are full. He is also a passionate Washington DC sports fan, rooting for all of the local teams. FYI, if you need to know, he is a self-professed expert in the history of the Drake / Kendrick Lamar rap beef. Please join us in congratulating Calvin on his promotion!

    Director of Operations

I am pleased to announce the promotion of Tracey Oakes to General Manager. She will be overseeing the Charlottesville venue! Tracey is a lifer in the restaurant business and has been a part of it for over 25 years including traveling the world with The Dave Matthews Band as their backstage manager. She joined Alamo as a bartender in 2017 until she “could figure out what she wanted to do with her life” (so she is a real Cojeaux “OG”) Since that time, she has become such an integral part of the Cville team progressively rising up the ranks to now General Manager.  Tracey grew up in South Carolina on an island and had to catch the “school boat” with the other island kids. She has spent her life either living on the beach or chilling in the mountains. She has high standards, is a firm believer in doing things the Alamo Way, and is a passionate advocate for Cojeaux and Alamo.  When not at work, Tracey enjoys life with her very accomplished daughter Kendal (who just graduated from college) , her two dogs, and is probably wearing something purple. Let’s all congratulate Tracey as she takes on this new role and I’m sure she will have continued success and make us better as an organization!

  • It's awesome having you on the team Allan...we are definitely better for it! Keep up the great work!

In the bustling kitchen of our One Loudoun Location, where flavors dance and aromas captivate, there exists kitchen whizz. Meet Allan Porter, the virtuoso Executive Chef whose culinary prowess knows no bounds. Born and raised in Falls Church, Virginia, Allan's culinary odyssey began humbly, donning the golden arches as a McDonald's cashier at age 16.Little did he know that his first taste of the hospitality industry would ignite a passion that would simmer and stew into a full-blown culinary symphony. Allan moved from register to grill soon after joining the team.  With each sizzle and flip, Allan honed his skills, mastering consistency and efficacy. His journey took him to many different full service concepts including most recently the bustling ambiance of Ford's Fish Shack, where he immersed himself in the world of seafood delicacies, crafting dishes that left patrons craving more. But it's been at the Alamo Drafthouse in One Loudoun where Allan has truly made his mark. Hired as a Sous Chef in December of 2021, Allan's culinary journey reached new heights. The challenges were aplenty, from staffing coming out of a worldwide pandemic, to a jam packed movie slate, but Allan's dedication and passion shone through. Amidst the hustle and bustle of the kitchen, Allan found solace in the rhythm of the drums, a talent Allan keeps hidden from his peers at Cojeaux. When he wasn't orchestrating culinary delights, you could find him pounding away on the drums, lost in the melodic beats that echoed through his soul. Allan finds joy in the simple pleasures of home. With his wife and their two kids by his side, Allan's kitchen became a sanctuary, where he could whip up his favorite dish, chicken cordon bleu, with love and laughter filling the air. But life's journey had more surprises in store for Allan than just culinary conquests. A certified A&P airframe and powerplant mechanic, and an Eagle scout, Allan's accomplishments are as diverse as they are impressive. And then there was that one crazy experience that left jaws dropping and heads spinning. Who would have thought that the culinary maestro had once graced the stage with the legendary Oak Ridge Boys, a moment of pure magic that would forever be etched in Allan's memory? As a devout fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Allan looks for excitement in the world of sports, cheering on his favorite team with unwavering passion and dedication. But amidst the accolades and accomplishments, Allan's favorite memory at Cojeaux remained the Barbenheimer, a moment of that tested his skills as a leader and a chef. From Sous Chef to Executive Chef, from the sizzle of the grill to the silver screen, Allan Porter's culinary odyssey is a testament to the power of passion, perseverance, and the pursuit of dreams. In the culinary world of One Loudoun, Allan Porter reigns supreme, a maestro whose culinary creations will leave taste buds tingling and hearts singing for years to come. Drop a 👏 for Chef Allan Porter!
