Today, we’re excited to release a new report summarizing what 31 Gen Z and Millennial leaders have to say about working with older people to solve pressing problems — aka “cogeneration” — and how it can be improved. It includes 8 key insights that stretch far beyond predictable stereotypes and 9 concrete recommendations for older leaders, colleagues and allies who want to work with younger generations more effectively! The quotes from the young leaders, ages 18-31, really make this report come to life. Please check it out and let us know what you think in the comments. What stood out to you and why? https://lnkd.in/g_cCZh5v A special thanks to all of the young leaders who participated in this study (Ariana Jasmine Afshar, Hulissa Aguilar, Brea Baker, Christopher Barnard, Allison Begalman, Sophie Beren, Dillon St. Bernard, Serena Bian, Jordan Bowman, Sydne Clarke, Thanasi D., Katie Eder, Kenna Embree, Jada Ford, Emily Garcia-Green, Natalie Green, Nonya Khedr, Mahmoud Khedr, Eve Levenson, Zhailon Levingston, Manu Meel, Ashwath N., Brittany T. Young people and older ones are the two groups most affected by social isolation and loneliness. At CoGenerate, we believe the most important solution to social isolation and loneliness is to bring these two groups together. Not as victims, but as agents of change. Not for commiseration, but for connection, learning, joy and shared purpose beyond themselves. On July 24, join CoGenerate Co-CEO Eunice Lin Nichols in conversation with Jillian Racoosin Kornmeier, MPH, Executive Director of The Foundation for Social Connection and an expert on evidence-based models that address social isolation, loneliness and social connection. Do you know what your social health is, how it's doing, and what you could do to improve it? Are you working to improve social connection for your family members, in your community, your workplace, your school? Since reading Kasley Killam, MPH's new book "The Art and Science of Connection," I've been obsessed with the idea of "social health" and why it's the key to a more connected, less fractured society. Take 1/2 hour to watch my interview with Kasley & my guess is you too will become obsessed with social health. If you listen, I'd love to hear your thoughts! ⚡ What do you do to take care of your social health? ⚡ What's your connection/friendship style (scroll down in my posts and take the New York Times quiz Kaley designed!)

Different generations don't have to clash at work. When we connect and collaborate, age-diverse work teams can actually have big advantages. Don't miss this insightful new piece by CoGenerate VP Marci Alboher. https://lnkd.in/ebpRMMct
Earlier in my career, I sought out older mentors. Then at some point, I realized that if I wanted to stay relevant and continue learning I needed to find younger mentors as well. This is the core of so much of my work today. And I'm grateful to have a chance to dig into the research about why age-diversity can be a superpower for workplaces for a new piece in The Greater Good Science Center magazine (a publication I adore). I'd love to hear if any of this resonates for you and how you're experiencing issues related to age/generation in your workplace (either in the comments or in a private note). I specifically shout out my relationships with Duncan Magidson Misa Fujimura-Fanselow and Charlotte Japp Crater, younger friends/colleagues who have had a big influence on me. But there are countless more I could have named...Like Aanchal Dhar, Nim de Swardt, ☀️Scott Shigeoka Kasley Killam, MPH Courtney Martin and Thanasi D..
