Clinica Family Health is pleased to announce that we will begin recruiting our Dental Assisting Training Program! This 12-week paid training program offers individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the community the opportunity to receive comprehensive training in dental assisting techniques and gain valuable hands-on experience through on-site clinical practice. Participants will train with an experienced team of dental professionals who are committed to helping them succeed in their career. Upon graduation, participants will have the opportunity to join the team as dental assistants, playing a vital role in ensuring that our patients have access to the dental care they need to thrive. • No prior experience in dental assisting required • Paid training while you learn • Opportunities for growth and advancement within our clinic while helping our communities We are recruiting trainees for our Thornton and Lafayette clinics. The deadline for applications is November 28th and interviews will be conducted in the following weeks. Training begins in January 2024. 👩⚕️𝑶𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒔 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑷𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒄𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉📅 🎉We're celebrating by getting to know some of our pharmacy staff a little better. Today, we talked to Anne Williams, the pharmacy manager at our People's clinic. Q: What is your favorite part about being a pharmacist at Clinica? A: 🥰I love my team. I love that it feels like I work with a family. I have never had the privilege of working with a more dedicated team of providers, BHPs, nurses, MAs, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians anywhere. I love that together we can make such a critical difference in the lives of so many people, including our own. Q: What is the best piece of advice you have received from a mentor that has made you a better pharmacist? A: 😩 Burnout is real, know your boundaries and respect them. Q: What is one positive impact you see pharmacists having on Clinica patients? A: 👍We see improved outcomes with our patients because of our work, lower A1c , lower blood pressure, early intervention with illness, better adherence to medication regimens. We see what they are filling and when, how much it costs, and are uniquely positioned to assist in simplification of medication lists as well as to reduce costs for them. All of the research in the world doesn't make a difference in the outcomes of care if your patient isn't taking it. Q: What is one positive change you have seen happen in pharmacy since you started your career? A: 🏥Expanded pharmacy services, providing better access to contraception, COVID medications, vaccines, OTCs. Q: What was the best book you have read recently and why? A: 📗Stephen Kings, Fairy Tale. A fun fantasy story, with fun twists and turns, well written. I couldn't put it down. Q: Favorite season and why? A: 🎃Fall - I love the wardrobe change and Halloween ( my favorite holiday ) Q: 📺What are you binge watching on Netflix or Hulu right now? A: Don't really watch TV. :) Q: If you were a medication, what would your medication name be? A: 💊Annastatin #nationalpharmacistmonth #pharmacist #pharmacistlife #pharmacistsprovidecare
