As part of our Cliffside Gives series, we want to celebrate a person who is very near and dear to our hearts: Ian Anderson! Sober since 2019, Ian found recovery at Cliffside and has been thriving ever since. While he named his new lifestyle as his greatest achievement, a close second would be Conejo Health – a non-profit organization dedicated to serving those struggling with substance use - it provides counseling and treatment options for patients in the emergency room. If the patient agrees to pursue addiction treatment, Conejo Health also helps place them in a program that is appropriate for their needs. And, for those who do not agree to seek treatment, Conejo Health offers free Narcan and harm reduction supplies. As chief of operations, Ian remains committed not only to Conejo Health’s mission of making “evidence-based harm reduction strategies the new normal,” but also to himself and others.
