Core Leadership Institute is delighted to introduce Luna - our newest CORE team member: Luna’s purpose is to “Heal your Heart and Soul and always be there when you need me.” We all have a purpose which is present throughout our lives. Luna has been living her purpose from when she was a playful pup to her current role as our esteemed Chief Purpose Officer, where she supports us by attending most meetings and calls at the office. Her experience also includes working as a therapy dog alongside her mom, who is a nurse, at a high school for students with special needs. Luna’s gentle demeanor and infectious enthusiasm have a powerful impact on healing even the most wounded hearts and always being the safe haven. With Luna at our side, we are reminded that purpose is very much about the core essence of who we are. Had a powerful time this week at a gathering at MIT Sloan School/EF Education First and IESE Business School. Nina Brandt from the UN has done a great job summarizing our adventures together!
"An oak tree was once a little nut who refused to give up". This, for me, was the essence of two days of intensive discussions, engagement, listening and doing during the "#TogetherToo" gathering, organized by IESE Business School, EF Education First and MIT Professional Education Kip Meyer, Peter Hirst, MBE, Christian Meyer - I am so grateful for your vision and initiative in bringing us together! I knew I would leave deeply inspired by the stories and the perspectives of leaders such as Kate W. Isaacs, who shared that #purposeful companies outperform the market. Frances West whose passion for #accessibility is contagious. Matthew McCarthy on what it looks like in practice when you lead with #purpose and stand up for a company's mission that goes beyond achieving business goals. (Matthew McCarthy I am personally grateful for ice cream as it carried me through my pregnancies when that was one of the few things I could eat ;-)). Aithan Shapira who blew me away with his genius approach to facilitating tangible outcomes for the most pressing global problems - it's about coming together as #people. Malia Lazu who brought it #home with the story of the giraffe and elephant that beautifully illustrated why #DEI is everyone's job. And lastly, Nick Craig who is helping leaders connect to their purpose 🙏 I will have to dissect all the other insights so that I can share more here.
