115 years old today! It was #OnThisDay, July 1, 1909 #ClarkCounty officially came into existence. The Nevada Legislature created Clark County by splitting off a portion from Lincoln County. We've changed a bit over the last century + 15. In 1909, The county population was about 3,000, it's now more than 2.4 million people. With jurisdiction over the world-famous Las #Vegas Strip and covering an area the size of New Jersey, Clark County is the nation’s 11th-largest county and provides extensive regional services to 2.4 million citizens and 43 million visitors a year.
