It's intern season here at Clark! Our summer intern program kicked off earlier this month with an intern social, company orientation, DiSC training, and a session with Founder and Chairman Fred Clark. During this session, appropriately titled "Learn How to Dream," Fred talked about the difference between dreams and goals, how to create a recipe for success, and the importance of observing the world around you. Today's employee spotlight is Becky Cerha! Becky is an Accounting Analyst for Business Services' Accounting team and will celebrate three years with Clark in 2024. When asked about what she enjoys most about working for Clark, Becky said, "The people are definitely the best part about working at Clark. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from so many talented individuals, and to be able to share what I have learned with newer team members and interns."

Character Coffee Cart was on campus this week for a morning pick-me-up! Employees had the option to purchase one of their delicious specialty coffees, spiced chai, Italian cream sodas, or frozen hot chocolate. A big thank you to Character Coffee Cart for coming to our corporate campus!

In May, during National Bike Month, employees participated in a bike-a-thon to raise money for Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity! A total of 50 employees biked 6,453 miles, raising $2,000 for Habitat for Humanity and their Open Doors campaign. A big thank you to our employees who biked during the month of May and logged their miles!

Today's employee spotlight is Josh Leaman! Josh is a Category Manager for Procurement's Beverage Equipment team and has been with Clark for five years. When asked about Clark's company culture, Josh said, "Clark's entrepreneurial spirit promotes growth in employees. Everyone in the organization is encouraged to take calculated risks in pursuit of success. Maintaining entrepreneurialism and avoiding corporate bureaucracy even as successful, growing company makes Clark a great place to work."

Our summer food truck series continued today with Souvlaki Boys Food Truck! Souvlaki Boys is dedicated to serving real Greek street food to Lancaster and beyond. Today's lunch options included a signature pita of choice with gyro meat or chicken and a side of fresh cut fries. A big thank you to Souvlaki Boys for coming to our corporate campus!

Today's employee spotlight is Alexis Lien! Alexis is the Marketing Coordinator for Procurement's Beverage & Novelty team and has been with Clark for three years. When asked about what she enjoys most about working for Clark, Alexis said, "The opportunity to be seen and heard. Clark is known for finding the right fit for their employees based off of their skills, talents, and experiences. I started my career at Clark as a Category Analyst, but shortly after being in that role, I realized I was drawn more to the marketing side of things. My manager understood what I was looking for and found the perfect position for me within the company."

June is Employee Wellness Month! Clark Associates is excited to announce the launch of Vitality for employees, an engaging online platform that will help all employees pursue multiple areas of wellness throughout the year. Vitality is an interactive and personalized wellness program that will allow Clark to promote custom wellness activities, challenges, and rewards for all employees, including those who are not enrolled in the medical plan. Because our company's culture emphasizes responsibility and sharing with others, we are honored to give back to our local community. Employees from our Clark National Accounts team recently volunteered with Anchor Lancaster, where they served breakfast and put together shower bags. Today's employee spotlight is Tony Bennici! Tony is a Vendor Manager for Procurement's Consumables Dry Foods team and has been with Clark for three years. Clark does amazing things for the Lancaster County area and beyond, and it makes me proud to work for a company that invests in the community like Clark does."
