Our Building Department is hosting quarterly stakeholder meetings to foster communication between the city and its residents, homeowners and contractors. We are looking to share information and get feedback. Participants can learn about our efforts to increase our efficiency and can give us feedback on how we can provide better customer service. Participants also can work with us on setting goals for permit reviews and processing, and timely building inspections and issuance of certificates of occupancy. To participate, simply click on the meeting link a few minutes before the start of the meeting. Questions? Call 407-957-7224. https://lnkd.in/eP3pESAM

About us
St. Cloud, Florida, is a family-oriented community offering small-town charm in a location close to Orlando, Orlando International Airport, and Medical City in Lake Nona. This Soldier City has a strong sense of pride in its heritage, which is demonstrated through landmark areas, such as Veteran’s Park (located in the heart of the city). Down the street, a state-of-the-art City Hall building complements the downtown area, which is filled with shops dotting our streets that are named after states, including New York, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts. Following completion in the spring of 2006, Lakefront Park on Lakeshore Boulevard quickly became a prime destination for residents and visitors alike. This award-winning recreational area offers walking and bike trails, a swimming area, a splash pad, covered pavilions, a playground, a concession stand, and boating facilities for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages. We encourage you to explore our city!

For the third consecutive year, the City of St. Cloud has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation award from the Government Finance Officers Association. The award reflects the City’s commitment to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting. To receive the budget award, the City had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation. These guidelines assess how well the budget serves as a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide and a communications device. Budget documents must be rated "proficient" in all four categories, and in the 14 mandatory criteria within those categories, to receive the award. “Our Finance Department has worked hard the past few years to ensure we are providing our residents with the best budget document we can, and we are proud that our efforts are recognized by our peers,” said Jeff Cooper, the city’s finance director.
