Earlier this week, the City of Zephyrhills held a very special retirement luncheon for our longtime City Clerk, Lori Hillman! City employees, friends and fellow local government colleagues jumped right in to Zephyrhills City Hall to say their goodbyes and celebrate Lori's incredible career and contributions. Lori began working for the #cityofzephyrhills in 2002, beginning her career as a Senior Staff Assistant, working her way up the ranks to Senior Administration Assistant, Deputy City Clerk, and then City Clerk in 2015. It's a noteworthy position to fulfill, as the City Clerk's Office maintains, records and preserves all official documents and proceedings of the City Council and serves as the Records Management Liaison Officer to the state of Florida archives; maintaining, storing, and disposing of the City’s public records in accordance with Florida Statutes. The City Clerk also administers oaths; is the custodian of the City seal and authenticates by signature and records all official legislative actions of City Council, and countersigns all contracts made on behalf of the City. Wishing Lori all the best in her well-deserved retirement!
