Earlier this week, the City of Zephyrhills held a very special retirement luncheon for our longtime City Clerk, Lori Hillman! City employees, friends and fellow local government colleagues jumped right in to Zephyrhills City Hall to say their goodbyes and celebrate Lori's incredible career and contributions. Lori began working for the #cityofzephyrhills in 2002, beginning her career as a Senior Staff Assistant, working her way up the ranks to Senior Administration Assistant, Deputy City Clerk, and then City Clerk in 2015. It's a noteworthy position to fulfill, as the City Clerk's Office maintains, records and preserves all official documents and proceedings of the City Council and serves as the Records Management Liaison Officer to the state of Florida archives; maintaining, storing, and disposing of the City’s public records in accordance with Florida Statutes. The City Clerk also administers oaths; is the custodian of the City seal and authenticates by signature and records all official legislative actions of City Council, and countersigns all contracts made on behalf of the City. Wishing Lori all the best in her well-deserved retirement!

Celebrating the Retirement of City of Zephyrhills City Clerk, Lori Hillman! After many dedicated years of service, Lori oversaw her final City Council meeting on Monday, July 22, 2024. Lori has worked for the #cityofzephyrhills for over 22 years, starting her career in June 2002; she will officially retire on Aug. 1, 2024. Lori's unwavering commitment and hard work have greatly contributed to the betterment of our community. Her dedication and outstanding service will be dearly missed. Thank you for jumping right in to serve our residents, and we wish you all the best in your retirement and future endeavors!

"I am in charge of the customer service aspect of the planning department, receiving phone calls, online applications for plan cases, and am also in charge of public hearing notifications." • What do enjoy about working for the City of Zephyrhills? "I like working with the public and assisting citizens with any inquiries regarding planning/zoning concerns." • What are some of your hobbies/interests? "I like traveling and exploring new cities, exercising, and watching movies."

Just another day of bonding for City of Zephyrhills Police Department (ZPD) Officer Limoges and rookie K-9 Woody! 🐾 🚔 Meanwhile, Woody is making incredible strides in his police dog training. From mastering commands to perfecting his sniffing skills, this young canine is proving to be a natural! Keep it up, Woody! These two are going to be quite the dynamic duo!

Did you know... The City of Zephyrhills Utilities Department-Water Division is responsible for our community's water supply and treatment operations. The #cityofzephyrhills' water and reclaimed water distribution systems includes seven water (wells) treatment plants, an elevated storage tank, pumping station and Dade City/Zephyrhills interconnect. Our dedicated team services more than 14,000 water meters, 835 fire hydrants, over 300 miles of water distribution pipes, plus the reclaimed water distribution system. Exciting News! We're thrilled to announce that City of Zephyrhills' Hercules Park is now 50% complete. The 12-acre Hercules Park (38110 County Road 54) will feature walking and bicycle trails, a nature playground, picnic area, playfield, splash pad, and restrooms, making it a hub for community engagement, recreation, and natural beauty. Project completion is slated for December 2024. Thank you to Wharton-Smith, Inc. for making our vision come to life, and we can't wait for the #cityofzephyrhills community to jump right in to this beautiful new space.
