We're excited to welcome Caribou Coffee to West Allis!
Very exciting news coming out of West Allis, WI. This Friday will be the grand opening for Guggenheim Retail Real Estate Partners first Caribou Coffee project! The 605 sq. ft. Caribou Cabin is located at 10200 W National Avenue in West Allis, WI. This project was a success thanks to GRREP’s hard working team of Kourtney Karvas, Irwing Gama, and Tim Rossi alongside our vendors Pinnacle Construction of WI, Inc., Reprise Design and Excel Engineering, Inc.. This was a very exciting project to bring to fruition and we hope to have many more successful projects with Caribou Coffee. If you are nearby, don’t forget to stop by and enjoy your coffee in the car or at their large outdoor seating area!

Last week, with the Southwest Suburban Health Department, we launched the West Allis Hope Walk at Liberty Heights Park. The event featured a variety of vendors such as local medical facilities (both the Wisconsin and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Wehr Nature Center and R&R House and more). Attendees interacted with vendors and their mental health resources, participated in mental health improvement activities like walking the Hope Walk route and canvas painting with Inspiration Studios, and entered for giveaways. The Hope Walk strives to boost mental and behavioral health in the West Allis community by allowing residents and visitors to connect with nature, practice mindfulness and promote positive mental health habits. To raise awareness about mental health and to spread hope, the City has placed Hope Walk signs in seven City parks featuring mental health tips, inspirational and uplifting quotes and mental health resources. The signs encourage kindness, patience and positive connections within the community. Signs can be found at - Liberty Heights Park (1540 S. 62nd St.). - Veterans Memorial Park (6900 W. National Ave.). - Rogers Park (2023 S. 75th St.). - Arnold Klentz Park (2601 S. 72nd St.). - Honey Creek Park (8405 W. National Ave.). - Railroad Park (intersection of W. National Avenue and S. 82nd Street). - Radtke Skatepark (intersection of W. National Avenue and 84th Street). If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health issues or suicidal thoughts, visit 988lifeline.org or call/text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Someone is available to talk 24 hours a day, seven days a week. #WestAllis #HopeWalk #MentalHealth #ThatsWhyWestAllis #MentalHealthMatters
