The police department welcomes our newest addition. Officer Anthony Blackwell has begun his field training with GHPD and is off to a great start. Officer Blackwell was a former police explorer for our department. After college, he has decided to rejoin our team in his current capacity. This brings our police force to 22 commissioned officers. Welcome Officer Blackwell!

This week marks Police Appreciation Week in Gig Harbor and we hope each of you take the opportunity to thank the men and women who keep our city safe and secure. We might be a bit biased, but we believe that we have the very best serving our community. So don’t miss the chance to show your love for our police officers and the GHPD administration staff. Their dedication and bravery will never go unnoticed.
