Founded as a timber town and a home for workers at the Cazadero hydroelectric dam over a century ago, Estacada is a symbol of resilience and adaptability. The City of Estacada is grateful to receive $2 million in federal assistance for our Wastewater Treatment Plant build. Our small community feels the pressure of funding a $42 million project and the impact this will have on our rate payers. Assistance like this will help lessen the burden on our residents. City of Estacada is in the process of updating their existing Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan (NHMP). A natural hazards mitigation plan provides communities with a set of goals, action items, and resources designed to reduce risk from future natural disaster events.
