Select Cedar Falls! The City's Economic Development Coordinator, Shane Graham, recently attended the SelectUSA Investment Summit in Washington D.C. This event is the country’s largest dedicated to promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) into the United States, attracting over 5,000 attendees with 96 international markets and all 56 states and territories represented. Partnering with Grow Cedar Valley and the Iowa Economic Development Authority, the City met with international businesses at the State of Iowa booth in the Exhibition Hall to promote the multiple advantages that locating their business in Cedar Falls can achieve. He also attended a reception hosted by the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Rabobank to network with Dutch companies that are interested in expanding their companies to the U.S. At the reception, Shane met Birgitta Tazelaar, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the United States. We are excited to plant the seeds of important international relationships while sharing why our community is a great place to grow.
