Following the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Beryl, CITGO is donating $100,000 to support local disaster relief efforts being conducted by the Houston Food Bank (HFB), Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, and Team Rubicon.   “Our community took a direct hit from Beryl and affected millions of people, some of whom are still suffering weeks after the storm,” said CITGO President and CEO Carlos Jordá. “These three organizations are at the forefront of the recovery efforts, and together we are committed to helping our neighbors in their time of greatest need.”   Here’s how the organizations will use the donation:   ➡ $50,000 to Houston Food Bank (HFB) In the aftermath of Beryl, HFB’s production output and distribution doubled to approximately 1.2 million pounds of food per day. The funds will help distribute ice, water, fruit, and ready-to-eat meals to HFB’s network of community partners, including cooling centers and shelters. As the communities in HFB’s 18-county service area focus on recovery, HFB will continue to deliver disaster boxes and non-perishable food items and replenish its warehouse and coolers to support ongoing summer feeding programs and regular distributions.   ➡ $25,000 to Catholic Charities Catholic Charities, in collaboration with TeamCITGO volunteers, used the donation to support a drive-through disaster distribution event on July 20 at its headquarters. During this event, food, water, and cleaning supplies were distributed to individuals and families affected by the storm.   ➡ $25,000 to Team Rubicon Team Rubicon deployed disaster response volunteers—or Greyshirts—to the state on July 13 to provide Hurricane Beryl assistance. The Greyshirts are serving in and around Houston, tarping roofs, conducting chainsaw operations to clear access to homes and critical infrastructure, bucking and limbing vegetative debris, and mucking out homes damaged by the hurricane.

In 2024, we're celebrating 10 years of our Caring for Our Coast program! We are proud of our partnerships with local organizations and the positive impact we've made together. In collaboration with the Galveston Bay Foundation over the last 8 years, we've achieved: ☘ Over 227,000 plants planted 🌳 22 acres restored ♻ 123 pounds of trash removed 👉 This was possible with the help of over 1,900 volunteers who donated over 8,000 hours of work in 83 events. Thanks for being part of this effort! #Environment #CaringForOurCoast #CITGO

Happy Independence Day from CITGO. As a U.S. based company, we celebrate our independence on July 4. Through our ownership we also share a special bond with Venezuela and its people, who celebrate their independence on July 5. With that bond in mind, we wish you happy and safe Independence Days, and remember the sacrifices that make freedom possible.

We are blown away by the incredible inventions at the Alief Independent School District Young Innovators Summer Academy Showcase!   Fourth and fifth-grade students spent nearly four weeks learning new skills and working on projects like Plot Coasters, Flight Lab, Robotic Pet Vet, Bot Ann E, Fair Game and Lost Treasure. At the showcase, they presented their amazing inventions and explained the science behind them.   It's inspiring to see their enthusiasm and curiosity in action. Keep up the great work!   #STEMEducation #CITGO #FuelingGood

TeamCITGO was fueling good at a recent Second Servings of Houston popup event. Our employee volunteers, along with their family and friends, worked together to unload, organize and distribute free groceries to families in need. Second Servings is Houston’s only perishable food rescue organization. Since 2015, the nonprofit has been building a healthier community by providing access to nutritious food that would otherwise go to waste. Second Servings picks up unsold and unserved food from over 400 food businesses and delivers it promptly and safely, for free, to 140 local nonprofit partners. #TeamCITGO #FuelingGood
