The CCC Board of Governors, CCC Management Team, Aspen project leads, and Course Architect Dr. Mike Hurdzan tweaked bunker shapes while discussing what the signature Cincinnati Country Club bunker will look like. By the midpoint of the video, you begin to see that drainage on hole 7 green is complete, and the greens mix is starting to be added.

Week four of the course renovation project included the completion of grading work to holes 6 & 7 fairways as well as a “rough-in” of the new greens for holes 4 & 5. Tony Weaver, Director of Grounds, narrates this week's progress in the attached video.

A course renovation is not as simple as signing a contract for a plan and waiting for the work to finish. The course architect, Mike Hurdzan, visits CCC frequently, personally painting the lines that shape the course. Members of the Board of Governors, the project leads at Aspen Corporation, CCC’s GM Joe Zinchini, Golf Professional Matthew Brewer, Director of Grounds Tony Weaver, and Assistant Grounds Superintendents Brian Frost and Isaac Santel are all heavily involved with the smallest details of the course plan, working alongside Dr. Hurdzan. Our management team and the Board of Governors are on the ground asking questions and putting themselves in the shoes of our membership to collaboratively create a course that is both fun and a challenge no matter what your skill level is.

Cincinnati Country Club's Golf Pro, Matthew Brewer, is demonstrating his ability to play in all conditions—he is hitting drives in the dirt to test the distance of the new fairway bunker placement on hole 7.

As the first week of construction wraps up, we are all amazed by the changes already occurring on the North side. Aspen Corporation brought in the heavy machinery and began roughing in holes 6 and 7. Towards the end of the video, you can see new irrigation pipes staged for installation, laid out neatly over the brown landscape.
