Children of Peru Foundation

Dear friends and colleagues, Last year I managed to run my first Marathon (42 km), which appeared to be a very challenging, but rewarding experience. This year I have decided to go even further and combine my next Marathon run with a charity effort. Hence, I am delighted to announce that I've decided to run the Paris 2024 Marathon with a Solidarity Bib for Children of Peru Foundation, a cause close to my heart, to support this non-profit organization in their fundraising campaign. Please, join in supporting children from poor indigenous communities in Peru, suffering from poverty and climate change. Rest assured that every donation, even the smallest, counts and can make a difference.

Many thanks to Yessica Flores & Catherine Romani from our partners Kantaya for another fantastic visit in Peru. Zaralina and I visited three of the Kantaya centers ("Casitas Felices") and were able to see first hand the impact of their after-school programs on the children. In the "Ventanilla" district north of Lima, as well as in "Puente Piedra" (casita financed by the Children of Peru Foundation), we met with children who presented us with their maths games, their books and computer center and they all told us how they loved the program and how important it is to them. Quiero compartirles que hoy tuvimos la grata visita de Edouard Ruelle (fundador y presidente) y su esposa Zaralina Ruelle (cofundadora y tesorera) de Children of Peru Foundation. Edouard y Zara visitaron nuestra casa juvenil #PaqariWayna donde fueron recibidos por representantes de la #JuntaDePadresyMadresdeFamilia, #JuntaDeJóvenes y un grupo representativo de jóvenes becados/as, dicha visita sirvió para que puedan conocer el trabajo que se realiza desde Amantani UK y así también poder conocer las experiencias, expectativas y trabajos de nuestros/as jóvenes becados. Agradezco su tiempo para estar con nosotros y compartir una linda mañana junto a nuestros/as jóvenes becados; estoy super seguro que las relaciones entre #AmantaníUK y #ChildrenOfPerú seguirán más fuertes y con miras hacia el futuro en pro del acceso a una #EducacionDeCalidad para que de esta manera tengamos una sociedad más equitativa, con menos pobreza y con trabajos dignos para los jóvenes de #comunidadesAltoAndinas del departamento de #Cusco y de las #ComunidadesNativasAmazónicas del departamento de #Loreto.
