Founded in 1981 with one mission: to make dreams come true for children with life-threatening illnesses. Celebrating over 40 years of granted dreams, the Children's Dream Fund is one of the oldest and busiest wish-granting organizations in the country. The Dream Fund makes dreams-come-true for children ages 3-21 who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and have been referred to us by physicians, hospitals, social workers, families, and friends. Dreams are as varied as the children we serve, but each one creates lasting memories for children whose most recent experiences evoke memories of painful treatments, surgeries, and often isolation from their friends and family as they recover. Operating out of headquarters in St. Petersburg, in the past 40 years, we have made over 3,500 dreams come true! We are proud to say that we have never denied a deserving child their dream-come-true.

We love highlighting our dreamers who give back to our community! ☀️ Check out 11-year-old Aubriana, who received her new best friend - a mini goldendoodle puppy named Chloe - in 2021 as her dream come true! She is now working to make a big impact in our local hospitals. After battling a brain tumor herself, Aubriana is on a mission to help kids just like her by bringing joy all year-round to children who are currently in the hospital. “Aubriana’s Toybox” is a nonprofit organization where Aubriana receives donations of toys from multiple businesses and other nonprofit organizations around the community and distributes them to area hospitals. It is so wonderful to see the impact she has made. Stay tuned as Aubriana says she is planning to collect even more toys to donate throughout the year! 🧸🚂🪀🪁

Yesterday was extra special. 💙 This week's Tuesday's Champion, Arian, joined us from Children's Dream Fund. He has been battling a brain tumor, but that didn’t stop him from bonding with some of his favorite players and even signing Randy’s game bat.
Dreams are fun for the whole family! ☀️ 4-year-old Gabriel was diagnosed with a brain tumor last year. Just one year later, his dream of going on a magical Disney cruise came true! 🚢 Gabriel loves all things Disney and wanted the chance to meet his favorite character, Mickey Mouse. Throughout the cruise Gabriel and family created amazing memories together which included swimming with dolphins, splashing around at the Atlantis waterpark, and a day at Disney’s famous private island Castaway Cay! 🐬🏝️ A note from dreamer Gabriel’s Mom: “This trip was absolutely incredible! It is hard to put into words just how much it means to Gabriel and all of us. The memories created, and the experiences shared will be cherished forever. ☀️ Partner Appreciation Post ☀️ Bo and his family just came back from the most magical place - Give Kids The World Village We post a lot of dream photos from GKTW, but what is it? Give Kids The World Village is an 89-acre nonprofit resort in Central Florida. They specialize in giving children with life-threatening illnesses the most magical weeklong vacation! 🤩 Along with their stay in their personal “villa”, the village offers amenities like an arcade, putt putt golfing ⛳️ , a resort pool, horseback riding 🐴 , movie theater 🍿 , a themed party every night, and more! GKTW is known for “never saying no.” Meaning if a child wants ice cream for breakfast - they get ice cream for breakfast!! 🍦 This child-focused magical place allows families to spend uninterrupted quality time together away from doctors, hospitals, and the stress of daily life. 6-year-old James was born with a heart condition, Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. James has endured multiple open heart surgeries and procedures over the years, he is a little fighter. ❤️ He now says he wants to be a doctor when he grows up! James dreamed of visiting Disney World to meet all of his favorite characters! This dream was sponsored through a special “Kids Who Care” project by an incredible high schooler, Sareena Patel.
