The Chicagoland Chamber applauds Illinois' big bet on a new $20 billion world-class quantum campus on Chicago's Southeast Side. This facility will represent a significant step forward for the Chicago and Illinois business communities, as quantum will revolutionize nearly every sector of our global economy, including bio-pharmaceuticals, energy, finance, and transportation. “We thank PsiQuantum for betting big on the Chicagoland region and Illinois and applaud Governor Pritzker for his vision and pursuit of the quantum opportunity before us that is now becoming a reality. Today’s announcement firmly puts Illinois on the path to becoming a premier global hub for quantum technologies and a global leader in what will be one of the most consequential technological developments of the 21st century," said Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Jack Lavin. ▶️ Learn more: https://bit.ly/46jrbfQ 📸 Source: PsiQuantum

🌟 Yesterday's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) conference, presented by Diversity Woman Media at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place, was a truly inspiring event! 🌟 🙏 A big thank you to Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce members and friends Larry Baker and Alisa M. Kolodizner from LCW for the invitation, and to Sofia Rivera for joining me as a partner. 👏 It was amazing to see Chamber members Amazon, Google, McDonald's, Walgreens, Zurich Insurance, Ferrara, Edward Jones, and LCW sponsoring this important event. The day was packed with insightful panels on: 🔹 Building trust and inclusive workplaces 🔹 Disability inclusion 🔹 The future of DEI 🔹 Utilizing metrics for DEIB strategies Key Takeaways: 1️⃣ Constructive feedback, transparency, support, resources, belonging, and empathy are not just soft skills but essential leadership skills for building trust. 2️⃣ DEI should be actionable and not just a branding exercise. 3️⃣ It's vital to show employees how their voices lead to direct outcomes, ensuring they feel heard. 4️⃣ Equity means meeting people where they are and providing the tools they need to contribute effectively. 💡 This scratches the surface of an impactful day of learning. 🚀 Great to also reconnect with Steven L. Hunter and Tyronne Stoudemire from the Chamber's DEIA Steering Committee panel in May. I can’t wait to continue to unpack the learnings. #DEIB2024 #Leadership #Inclusion #Equity #Diversity #WorkplaceCulture #ChicagolandChamber #HyattRegency #LearningAndDevelopment
