Yesterday, the Chicago Bears officially kicked off their summer 2024 EGO Outdoor Power Equipment Chicago Bears Training Camp with a Community Day at Halas Hall! We were excited to welcome over 20 non-profit community organizations and 15 youth and high school football teams to our first public practice. The groups had the opportunity to watch practice, participate in family-friendly activities, explore a portion of our campus, try food from local food trucks and receive autographs from some of the players. 🏈✍🏽 Opening our doors to Chicago and the surrounding areas, this special Community Day was a way to recognize and celebrate the incredible work these organizations do in their respective communities. It’s an appreciation to the strong partnership we share, working together to make a positive impact. 🐻⬇️

This past Saturday, quarterback Caleb Williams hosted a charity event through his Caleb Cares Foundation at Gately Park on Chicago’s South Side, welcoming nearly 700 youth from 12 local schools! Williams dedicated his time to speaking with students about anti-bullying, mental health and youth empowerment. He established Caleb Cares to support kids who feel like they don't fit in, emphasizing that greatness lies in their unique qualities and that these differences will propel them forward in life. "A big reason of why I started Caleb Cares is to help out in areas where I would say it's needed, or where it's shown, percentage-wise, that it's needed," Williams said. "It's huge for me to start in places that I can be or have been and been able to reach and use my platform to reach people. So, it's great to start it here in Chicago." During the event, Williams also threw autographed footballs to nine kids selected as winners of the Caleb Cares Hero Awards, which recognize individuals who demonstrate kindness and respect to their classmates and teachers. General Manager Ryan Poles, Head Coach Matt Eberflus, and teammates DJ Moore, Tyrique Stevenson, and John Jackson, who played with Williams at USC, were also in attendance to support Williams' mission. It was a meaningful day filled with inspiration and community spirit. 🐻💙 #MentalHealth #YouthEmpowerment #Community #Education #BearsDown

Have you seen how community and healthy competition can unite to inspire the next generation of athletes? Last week, the Chicago Bears, in partnership with Nike Football, hosted the fifth annual official Nike 11-On Competition at Willowbrook High School in Villa Park! This event brought together over 450 local boys high school players from 16 different high school football teams for a two-day competitive tournament, featuring 7-on-7 games and linemen challenges. But this year's event was even more special as the Bears introduced a tournament for 300 girls high school players, with 16 high school girls’ flag football teams participating in their own two-day 7-on-7 tournament and skill competitions, providing a platform for individual players to showcase their abilities. To support the growth of high school football, the Bears donated $10,000, distributed among the top six teams in each category based on their performance. Individual skills event winners were also recognized for their outstanding performances. Congratulations to Elk Grove High School (boys) and Taft High School (girls) as the tournament champions, and to all participants. We're proud of the growth of the sport and excited for the next generation of football talent! 🐻🏈 #Inspire #Football #FlagFootball #Community
