Community and Camaraderie at Our Recent Crawfish Boil Events! We recently held two fantastic crawfish boils, first at our Ore City facility on June 20th and then at our Bossier City facility on June 28th. The events were hosted by Chuck Fischer, with tremendous help from our dedicated team. The menu featured delicious crawfish, corn on the cob, sausage, and potatoes – a true feast that brought everyone together. Chuck and his help cooked and seasoned over 300lbs of crawfish at each location! We were thrilled to have several associates from our Dallas corporate office make the drive to join us for these special occasions. It was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our bonds and enjoy some quality time together. Thank you to everyone who helped make these events a success. Today, we’re shedding light on the crucial heat treatment phase in the creation of ERW (Electric Resistance Welded) steel tubulars. Heat treatment isn’t just about applying heat; it’s a meticulous procedure aimed at refining the microstructure and material properties of steel, ensuring it meets stringent quality standards. In the ERW pipe making process, this step holds paramount importance that guarantees final performance once in application. Here’s why: 1. Enhancing Mechanical Properties: Heat treatment such as Quench & Tempering refines the microstructure of the steel, optimizing its mechanical properties that increase the overall strength of the steel. Through controlled heating temperatures and cooling cycles, we can precisely control factors like hardness, toughness, and ductility, crucial for withstanding various downhole operational conditions. 2. Stress Relief: Quenching of the tubulars inherently introduces residual stresses into the steel.
