Central Carolina Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization serving 11 counties in the Midlands of SC by distributing grants and scholarships and linking the resources of donors, nonprofits and community leaders to areas of need. Our mission is to promote, facilitate and increase philanthropy to create a sustainable impact within our community through responsible giving. To fulfill our mission, we: - Encourage donors to make effective charitable giving decisions. - Collaborate to develop creative solutions for community needs. - Nurture and strengthen community organizations. - Build a substantial endowment to provide for community needs for generations to come.

Brittany is a Certified Public Accountant with Elliott Davis, where she’s a leader within the firm’s construction practice and serves as office leader and tax leader for the Columbia, SC location. Brittany is deeply committed to her community, where she serves as Board Chair for United Way of the Midlands and is a member of the Midlands Business Leadership Group, Midlands CFO Council, and a board member of the Construction Financial Management Association of South Carolina. She is also a Riley Fellow through the Riley Institute at Furman University Diversity Leaders Initiative and a Columbia Regional Business Report Woman of Influence. On July 1st, Georgia Mjartan became President and CEO of Central Carolina Community Foundation bringing with her a wealth of experience in the public, nonprofit and philanthropic sectors. “It is such an honor to be entrusted with the resources of so many generous community members whose commitments are making a lasting impact in the Midlands,” Mjartan remarked in her message to the Central Carolina Community Foundation Board of Directors. The board selected Ms. Mjartan after an extensive search process following the retirement of the foundation’s long-time leader, JoAnn Turnquist.
