🧐 Are you considering a career change that utilizes your scientific expertise? Consider joining CSR as a scientific review officer (SRO)! We asked Dr. Krystyna Szymczyk about her transition from a bioinformatic research specialist into the SRO role. “I thought I would miss the wet lab and was worried this position would be too administrative, but I was wrong. I love the role and love CSR, and I never look back. I am surrounded with people who are cheering for me to do well. I feel professionally fulfilled and respected for my knowledge and expertise; my scientific skills are valued.” From July 8-17, 2024, CSR will be actively recruiting multiple SROs with expertise from a variety of disciplines within The National Institutes of Health research portfolio – ranging from biomedical engineering to cell biology to behavioral health sciences. Select from one of the three vacancy announcements that best fits your expertise: · Biological Scientist Administrator (SRO) · Data Scientist Administrator (SRO) · Physical Scientist Administrator (SRO) Applying for a federal job is different than applying for an academic position. Let us help you navigate the process. For HR or application-specific questions, contact Lead Workforce Resources Specialist Adam Peters at adam.peters@nih.gov.
