The Country Club at Mirasol

On this #tbt, we want to congratulate the superheroes on Team Mirasol - and our super members - who participated in our thirteenth-annual 100-Hole Challenge on June 28! Team F&B, including Eddie Cristal, Amanda Sprenger, and Tyron Williams, faced off against Team Golf, which consisted of Joe Beezup, Ben Hyduk, and Greg Dobbins. After completing a collective 600 holes of golf, they raised nearly $30,000 via donations from our generous members, which will be distributed among select South Florida children's charities. We thank our team and our members for their continued enthusiasm for and support of this fantastic annual event, and we look forward to making our fourteenth-annual event even better! #mirasolpride

Food & Beverage team member Tyron Williams was surprised to see this big guy on hole 17 on our Sunrise Course on the Fourth of July as he was setting up the comfort stations for our annual golf tournament. We are thrilled that he captured this video safely and shared it with us! While primarily used in the water, an alligator's tail also provides leverage on land. Alligators can use their tails to push themselves up or to help them move more efficiently. Their tails are very muscular, making up about half of an alligator's total length, and are strong enough to knock down prey or fend off threats. In case you missed today's news, our very own Teaching Professional, Frank Bensel, Jr. PGA, made history in round 2 of the 44th U.S. Senior Open by becoming the first player in USGA championship history to record consecutive holes-in-one, acing holes 4 and 5 at Newport Country Club in Rhode Island! The odds of such an accomplishment are reportedly 67 million to one, and we couldn't be happier for him. We are incredibly proud of Frank and his remarkable achievement, and feel fortunate to have him as part of our exceptional team of golf professionals. This #TBT, we're celebrating a season filled with smiles and passion at Mirasol, where our team members do what they love daily! Our staff mantra is PRIDE Club Wide, with PRIDE standing for Personal Responsibility In Delivering Excellence. And deliver excellence we did! We are proud to congratulate PGA Teaching Professional, Frank Bensel, who will be competing in the USGA Men’s Senior Open Championship, scheduled for June 27-30 at Newport Country Club in Newport, RI! Frank qualified on May 21, shooting a 73 at Metropolis Country Club in White Plains, NY. He has been a golf instructor with us for two seasons and we look forward to having him back again this fall. We are just ten days away from the epic showdown between our Golf and Food & Beverage departments in our 13th Annual 100-Hole Marathon Golf Challenge! Team Mirasol 2024 will include Assistant General Manager Eddie Cristal, Director of Food & Beverage Amanda Sprenger, Director of Golf Joe Beezup, PGA, Director of Golf Course Maintenance Ben Hyduk, Assistant Golf Professional Greg Dobbins, PGA, and Server Tyron Williams.
