Magnetic Crawler Surveys are becoming a critical component of holistic inspection services, offering a unique solution for evaluating hard to reach areas. Equipped with magnetic wheels, these crawlers adhere to the inner surface of metallic surfaces, particularly effective for inspecting ferrous pipelines. This feature offers stability and precise maneuverability, making them invaluable in industries such as oil & gas where metallic pipelines are prevalent. What magnetic crawlers can detect: ➡️ Material Thickness: Assess the remaining wall thickness of equipment to predict its lifespan and schedule maintenance. ➡️ Corrosion: Identify areas of corrosion that may compromise the structural integrity of the equipment. ➡️ Cracks and Defects: Detect surface and subsurface cracks, ensuring early intervention before they lead to failure. ➡️ Weld Quality: Inspect welds for potential weaknesses or defects that could impact the performance and safety of the equipment. In industries such as Oil & Gas, Chemical Processing, and Power Generation, maintaining the integrity of storage tanks, pipelines, and other critical infrastructure is paramount. Magnetic Crawler Surveys enable precise, efficient, and safe inspections, minimizing downtime and ensuring compliance with stringent safety regulations. 🏭 In the world of chemical process equipment, two key questions stand out: what to check and how often? Proper inspections are critical to ensuring safety. In fact, according to the U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board (CSB), approximately 70% of incidents in chemical facilities could have been prevented through better process safety management and regular equipment inspections. Here are some important tips: Pressure Vessels: Include any vessel with a pressure >15 psig or with a vacuum rating on your inspection list. Don't forget pipe coils and most filters, as they rely on pressure to move fluid. Corrosion: Always consider corrosion when scheduling inspections. Corrosive service can significantly shorten equipment life. Pressure Relief Systems: Regularly replace rupture discs and test relief valves, especially in high-risk areas like chlorine operations. Other Items: Periodic inspections are also essential for atmospheric and low-pressure tanks, piping, instruments, electrical systems, structural steel, and sewers. Using a combination of visual inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT), and rigorous routine checks ensures your equipment operates safely and efficiently. For comprehensive chemical process equipment inspections, consult CATSI to maintain optimal performance and safety standards! https://lnkd.in/edHtb-Q8 #ChemicalSafety #ProcessSafety #EquipmentInspection #IndustrialSafety #CorrosionControl #NDT #AssetIntegrity #SafetyManagement #OperationalExcellence

⚠️ This week, CATSI is proudly participating in the National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction, a critical initiative lead by OSHA spotlighting a harsh reality: falls from elevation are a leading cause of fatalities in construction, accounting for 395 of the 1069 construction fatalities in 2022 alone, according to BLS data. These tragedies ARE preventable! The National Safety Stand-Down serves as a poignant reminder and a call to action. It's a time when we can pause, reflect, and recommit to fall hazard awareness and prevention. This initiative aligns with our core values and our relentless pursuit of a safer workplace for all employees. Why This Matters? ➡️ Preventable Fatalities: Every worker deserves to return home safely. Recognizing fall hazards and implementing preventive measures can save lives. ➡️ Educational Opportunity: This week provides a platform for vital conversations between employers and employees about not only fall hazards but also other potential risks on the job, fostering a culture of safety and awareness. Whether you're on a construction site, in an office, or any workplace in between, take a moment this week to discuss safety, share knowledge, and renew your commitment to preventing workplace injuries and fatalities. Your thoughts and actions can make a difference! This weekend, as we observe World Day for Safety and Health at Work, it's a poignant reminder to all of us about the importance of a safer and healthier work environment! Established in 2003 by the International Labour Organization (ILO), this day highlights the critical role of preventing accidents and diseases in the workplace. At CATSI, we take this commitment seriously, continually striving to enhance our safety measures and ensure the well-being of our employees and partners. Reflecting on the ILO's advocacy, we recognize that creating a culture of safety and health is not a solo mission. It involves collaboration among governments, employers, and workers to institute robust policies, compliance measures, and a shared responsibility for a secure working environment. 🌍 Our Initiatives Include: Implementing comprehensive safety protocols and regular audits. Engaging in open dialogues with our teams to address safety concerns and solutions. Investing in training programs to equip our employees with the knowledge to maintain a safe working space. 🏗 The construction industry sits on the backbone of rigorous safety standards, essential for safeguarding our workers and the communities we serve. However, the recent indictment of a company by the New York State Supreme Court casts a grim light on the devastating consequences of compromising these standards. Valor Security and Investigations operated under the guise of a safety training school, only to distribute fraudulent OSHA training cards—a shortcut with perilous outcomes. Nearly 20,000 individuals received dubious certifications from Valor, misusing safety cards—some obtained in less than a day, often for cash, and backdated improperly. This malpractice culminated tragically with the death of a worker, Ivan Frias, highlighting a harsh truth: when safety training is undermined, real lives are at stake. Today, CATSI stands in solidarity for uncompromising safety standards. To every worker, to every family, and to every community member—we owe you our commitment to safety, without shortcuts, without exceptions!
