Doctors are fighting back against insurance #denials with AI tools such as chatbots, saving time and increasing approval rates for patient treatments. The bots quickly draft appeal letters, a task that used to take hours. This tech shift allows small practices to challenge big insurers, creating an AI “arms race” in healthcare. https://hubs.li/Q02GfWJ60 #HealthcareHere #AI #insurance

Everyone wants to work in a space where they feel welcomed. Even more so, every company should strive to foster an environment where everyone - employees, customers, patients, etc. - feels a sense of belonging. Our team (The Catholic Health Association of the United States and Once Films) had a great time filming this DEI video with Odesa Stapleton and the Bon Secours Mercy Health team. I continue to be inspired by BSMH's efforts at both the corporate and local levels to hold themselves to a high standard and elevate equity in the communities they serve.

In a joint op-ed in Modern Healthcare, Sr. Mary Haddad, RSM and Richard J. Pollack, president and CEO of the American Hospital Association, make the case that "healthcare leaders and policymakers must strive to ensure that all hospitals have the resources needed to provide the right care to everyone in their communities." They add that "for hospitals and health systems, sustained financial losses make preserving 24/7 access, quality and innovation incredibly difficult in the short term and nearly impossible in the long term." https://lnkd.in/guce88cG #nonprofit #healthcare #CatholicHealth

🚨 Medicare Advantage Concerns 🚨 Private insurers in the #MedicareAdvantage program have been found to make numerous questionable diagnoses from 2018 to 2021, leading to increased taxpayer-funded payments. A Wall Street Journal investigation revealed that some diagnoses were outright wrong or never treated, adding tens of billions to costs. Originally intended to save taxpayer money, Medicare Advantage has now become a source of concern. https://hubs.li/Q02FKdqG0 #HealthcareHere
