A huge thank you to Harris Construction Co., Inc. for their generous donation of over 600 lbs of meat 🥩! Every year, they proudly support local FFA and 4-H Club students by participating in their livestock projects. Harris team members get to choose from beef, lamb, or pork as a token of appreciation, and we’re honored to be part of this tradition. Your donation will be a huge blessing for families in need. Thank you, Harris Construction! ❤ #FFAFamily #4H #CommunityFirst #GivingBack #CatholicCharities

At Catholic Charities Diocese of Fresno (CCDOF), we're dedicated to supporting our diverse farmworker community in California's Central Valley. Last week, our Executive Director, Jeff Negrete, and Immigration Services Center Manager, José Emmanuel Martínez Calderón, attended a gathering of Catholic Charities agencies serving farmworker communities. Hosted by CATHOLIC COMMUNITY SERVICES OF WESTERN WASHINGTON Farmworker Center in Mount Vernon, Washington, this event was a wonderful opportunity for CCDOF to connect with peers, gain insights, and enhance our ability to serve our community, particularly migrant farmworkers. Joined by representatives from various Catholic Charities organizations and the President and CEO of Catholic Charities USA, Kerry Alys Robinson, we discussed pressing issues facing farmworkers, particularly in navigating the immigration system. With approximately 380,000 migrant farmworkers in the San Joaquin Valley, many facing challenges due to their immigration status, CCDOF recognizes the urgent need for increased support and resources. To better serve our community, CCDOF is looking to expand our Immigration Services department to provide crucial legal assistance and representation. We're committed to advocating for enhanced community support to address these pressing challenges and remain dedicated to positively impacting the lives of those we serve. Thanks to Catholic Charities San Bernardino/Riverside, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Santa Rosa, CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF THE DIOCESE OF STOCKTON, Catholic Charities Diocese of Venice, Catholic Charities Diocese of Sioux City, Catholic Charities, Inc. Jackson, MS, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Nashville, CATHOLIC CHARITIES HOUSING SERVICES DIOCESE OF YAKIMA, Catholic Charities Eastern Washington, Archdiocese of Seattle, and the Washington State Catholic Conference for the opportunity to connect and collaborate!

We are overwhelmed by the kindness of the Knights of Columbus Council #14754 from St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, who have delivered over 600 coats to distribute to our neighbors in need. The Knights of Columbus are a shining example of the power of community and the importance of giving back. By doing charitable works and living out their faith, they are fulfilling their mission to act as a force for good in their local communities. Their loving care and commitment to our community is truly commendable. Thank you! 🙏

Help us spread joy this holiday season! It’s easy to grow up with an idealized image of Christmas, but the reality is far different for children in need. For our neighbors in need, putting food on the table or keeping the lights and heat on means that presents and holiday celebrations are out of the question. At Catholic Charities, we seek to show how the power of giving and hope can make a difference in people's lives all year round, but the holiday season is especially challenging as we strive to find the perfect balance between holiday cheer and meeting the needs of those who rely on us. This is the perfect time to reflect on our blessings, which reminds us that God, through Christ, has given each of us gifts to use for his glory. The holidays can be a great time to use our gifts for that purpose – to shine the light on Jesus while bringing joy to the children in our community. Please consider making a monetary donation and spread some holiday joy! 🎁 🎄 🎅 https://lnkd.in/giGHF4DC

Today is #GivingTuesday On this national day of giving, please consider a donation to Catholic Charities that will provide help and create hope for families in the greatest of need. We ask you to join us today for #GivingTuesday, a day dedicated to joining together to share our gifts with those in need. Our Lord calls us to care for those most vulnerable, and your generous support of Catholic Charities does just that. This year has brought both challenges and opportunities, and we have continued our mission of serving, advocating, and empowering those in need. Now more than ever, we need your help to serve families in the greatest of need with food, shelter, and other basic necessities. Your generosity has been instrumental in making a positive impact as we continue to serve more people than ever. With your continued support, we can amplify our efforts and reach even more people in need. In the rural communities throughout our Diocese, the need has increased. Our Rural Outreach Program serving the most impoverished and food insecure areas of our Valley now accounts for more than 25% of all our food distribution taking place. Here at Catholic Charities, many of those seeking assistance have never walked through our doors or had to ask for help before. The need is reflective of every age group, demographic, zip code, and more. You can make a difference for families in crisis by donating today. Please consider joining the movement by supporting Catholic Charities this #GivingTuesday. Thank you for your generosity and for making a positive impact. And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.' (Matthew 25:40) https://lnkd.in/giGHF4DC
