We’re here to help stabilize and treat in the most clinically appropriate and cost-effective settings, while also offering the least restrictive and traumatizing environment. Patients are provided with an immediate screening and risk assessment for mental health, addictions and basic primary care needs. We offer easy access to care with reduced wait times, regardless of ability to pay or location of residence. Discounts for essential services are offered based on family size and income. Our whole-health approach includes expanded coordination with other health care providers, social service providers and law enforcement. We are skilled in providing comprehensive access to a full range of medical and behavioral services, as well as targeted case management. For over 115 years, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens has been providing quality social services to the neighborhoods of Brooklyn and Queens, and currently offers 160-plus programs and services for children, youth, adults, seniors, those with developmental disabilities, and those struggling with mental illness. As one of the largest faith-based developers of affordable housing in the country, Catholic Charities provides 3,750 units of housing for low-income seniors, families, and the formerly homeless, with an additional 750 units of special needs housing, throughout Brooklyn and Queens. With the country reeling from an economic crisis, countless members of our community in Brooklyn and Queens have turned to Catholic Charities for assistance. In response, we increased our efforts to address issues of poverty and promote justice in the communities we serve, thereby empowering families and individuals to achieve greater self-sufficiency.
