    Our Salem, VA, machine rebuild center recently completed a certified powertrain plus hydraulics rebuild on a Cat® 777D for local customer Roanoke Cement Co.. During the final testing and delivery of the rebuilt truck – known to the Roanoke Cement team as #14 – some of our team members involved in the project were invited to the company's manufacturing site in Botetourt County where they were able to ride along with the truck operators, get a tour of the quarry, and climb the tower (which happens to be the tallest structure in the Roanoke Valley)! Thanks to the entire Roanoke Cement team for the hospitality and your unwavering business!

    Did you know Cat® machines haven't always been yellow? Before the 1930's, all machines were "battleship gray" with a red Caterpillar logo. In 1931, the company decided its machines needed to be brighter for better visibility on road construction sites. The "Caterpillar Yellow" used on the machines today is trademarked.
