We’re pleased to share that 100 Congress, a revitalized office tower lobby led by design principal Kirsten Ring Murray FAIA, has been featured online by The Architect's Newspaper! “At 100 Congress, our fundamental driver was to make the space feel right from a scale perspective. The existing lobby was large and somewhat amorphous, so we placed furniture like coffee bar in the center and added a low lantern to create a more intimate scale,” Kirsten shares. “Comfortable, functional seating groups also provide more intimate experiences with a connection to the garden outside. Working alongside the incredible design team at Olson Kundig, we recently delivered a transformative lobby and fitness center renovation at 100 Congress, our property in Austin, TX. The redesign celebrates Austin’s diverse cultural heritage in every design detail through art, textiles, furnishings and materials. Customers and guests of the building can now enjoy the revitalized lobby which includes a new coffee bar, inviting seating areas, and improved visibility of the outside garden. As we celebrate our 30th anniversary this month, we are proud to recognize our long-time associates for achieving this major milestone with us. Their loyalty, leadership, and expertise have been integral to our journey. This picture commemorates over 56 years of combined tenure! From left to right: Dominique Daschle, our Chief People Officer, started with Carr Properties in 2004 and has been instrumental in building Carr's hospitality-driven culture. Ellen K. Wyviorka, CPM, RPA, General Manager, joined Carr Properties in 2014 and currently oversees six of our placemaking DMV properties, including Midtown Center. Yolanda Richardson, RPA, General Manager, has been an integral part of Carr Properties since 2009 and currently oversees seven of our DMV properties, including The Wilson. Linda Cogburn, Senior Vice President of Operations, started with Carr Properties in 2013 and oversees Property Management of our owned and third-party portfolio, raising our standard of excellence along the way.

We are thrilled to announce the acquisition of 901 N. Pitt Street, a prime site in Old Town Alexandria, VA, where we will develop a 234-unit multifamily rental property. The property will include below-grade parking, 15,800 square feet of outdoor space, a performing arts venue, and nearly 7,000 square feet of additional ground-floor retail space.
