Hereโs how we worked together: ๐น ๐พ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ฉ๐๐ข๐๐ฏ๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ: We enhanced her CV to highlight her strengths and make it more appealing to high-tech employers. Through mock interviews and constructive feedback, we boosted her confidence and polished her responses. One powerful tip I gave her was regarding salary expectations. With the right guidance, she understood her market value better and negotiated successfully - and she got it! It's important to mention that Arielle dedicated herself to the job search process. Even though it took her 9 months, she stayed focused and believed in herself. This perseverance is crucial in any job search! Iโm incredibly proud of her and excited for what lies ahead in her new role!

As the summer vacation officially kicks off in Israel today, you might be tempted to put your job search on pause. I understand you! Many businesses tend to slow down hiring โฆ Kids are out of summer school earlier than usual โฆ People are enjoying their summer vacations But my suggestion is: Here's why and how: ๐ค Networking: Use the relaxed summer vibe to your advantage. Join community events or even beachside gatherings. You never know - your next job lead might come from a casual conversation over watermelon and limonana! Ecosystem Deep Dive: Use this quieter time to research the Startup Nation thoroughly. Understand the main companies' culture, recent projects, and future goals. When interviews resume, you'll be impressively prepared. Informational Interviews: Reach out to professionals in your field for virtual coffee chats. With more relaxed schedules, they might be more open to sharing insights about working in Israel. Volunteer Opportunities: There is still plenty of volunteering needed due to the ongoing war. Volunteering can expand your network, improve your Hebrew, and show potential employers your commitment to the community. Content Creation: Start a blog or contribute to industry publications about your professional journey in Israel. It's a great way to showcase your expertise and improve your visibility. Skill Up: Use this time to invest in yourself. Take an online course or attend a summer Ulpan. Improving your Hebrew or adding a new skill could set you apart when hiring picks up again. Review Your Strategy: Use this time to reassess your job search approach. Are you targeting the right roles? Is your CV optimized for the Israeli market? Make necessary adjustments now. Remember, as an Oleh Chadash or newcomer to Israel, your global perspective is an asset. Use this summer to align your international experience with local market needs. Your persistence during this "slow" period could be what sets you apart when companies ramp up hiring again. Stay motivated, stay visible, and most importantly, stay hydrated! Is there anyone in the crowd who has been successful with their summer job search strategies? Did I forget any creative ideas? Share them in the comments!

Do you speak multiple languages? Many professionals miss highlighting this valuable skill! My recent post shares how to showcase your language abilities on your CV and LinkedIn profile. Check it out and boost your visibility!
Career Consultant Guiding Job Seekers to Rise Above the Crowd and Land a Great Job in Israel | Multilingual HR Expert & Fellow Olah Chadasha | Top Job Search Strategies Voice
As a career consultant, I help many professionals navigate the Israeli job market. One thing I noticed: Many professionals fail to highlight their language skills! Don't miss out! Create a dedicated "Languages" section in both your CV and LinkedIn profile. This simple step can significantly boost your visibility and appeal to potential employers. Ensure your language skills are highlighted by double-checking your CV and LinkedIn profile today. Include the languages you speak, read, and write, along with a standardized scale (beginner, intermediate, advanced, native) to indicate your proficiency. While some use the CEFR scale (A1, A2, B1, etc.) to describe language proficiency, it might not be familiar to all recruiters and hiring managers. If you already have a language section in your profile, but in your mother language: Delete the existing language and reselect them in English (due to LinkedIn limitations). โ If you don't have a language section in your profile: Go to "Add Profile Section" and add your languages one by one. By following these tips, you'll ensure your language skills are recognized and become a key differentiator in your job search. ๏น๏น๏น๏น๏น โกHi, I'm Carol! ๐๐ป and I'm a Career Consultant. โกAs a fellow Olah Chadasha, I understand the unique challenges newcomers face. โกI bring a unique blend of personal experience as a job seeker and professional expertise as a Talent Acquisition to support Olim on their career paths in Israel. โกI offer personalized career advice to help you fast-track your Israeli career! Schedule a first free call with me by clicking "Book an Appointment" on my LinkedIn profile.

Meet Leonardo Krimberg, a talented graphic designer who started a new chapter by moving to Israel from Brazil just a year ago. In Brazil, Leonardo worked as a Marketing Graphic Designer and Art Director. After moving to Israel, he kept himself busy by volunteering and freelancing, while trying to find new and exciting career opportunities in his field. Our paths crossed in December 2023 at the Gvahim Career Center, where we bonded over our shared Brazilian background and experiences. Leonardo was looking for personalized assistance, so he contacted me for career advice. In our one-on-one sessions, I helped him polish his CV to fit the Israeli job market and taught him some tricks to shine in interviews - like how to make a genuine connection with interviewers without seeming intrusive. Thanks to his boosted confidence and new skills, Leonardo landed a job as a Content Manager at Linguana, a growing startup. Keep an eye on Linguana's websites for job openings. Oleh Chadash? Is Israeli culture new to you? Get ahead with my free guide & learn 10 things I wish I had known before. #Israel #WorkCulture #OlimChadashim
Career Consultant Guiding Job Seekers to Rise Above the Crowd and Land a Great Job in Israel | Multilingual HR Expert & Fellow Olah Chadasha | Top Job Search Strategies Voice
Usually, I start my lectures about 'Finding a Job in Israel' with a short introduction about cultural aspects in the Israeli workplace. Why? Well, let's be honest, Israel is pretty peculiar! As a fellow Olah Chadasha (new immigrant to Israel) who's built a career here in Israel, I remember the rollercoaster of adjustments โ including the work culture! It's just like navigating through Tel Aviv streets, it takes some time getting used to! To help you navigate these waters more smoothly, and shorten your adjustment time, I created this short guide. Things can change quickly, so be ready to adapt and find solutions. Building relationships on a personal level is as important as a professional one. Dress code is often relaxed, and communication can be direct. Don't be afraid to speak up, but remember โ respect is always important. Focus on getting things done efficiently, even if it's not flawless. It's more important than you think. While English is common, understanding Hebrew will help you in so many levels, especially in feeling part of the community. 6โฃ ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: "I have just a question!" - are you familiar with that interruption? Be prepared for those and smile when they happen. You'll learn how to master this question with time. Meetings might start later than scheduled - be patient. 8โฃ ๐ต๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ : You're in the Middle East! The first offer is a suggested price. Pro-tip: Don't be a "freier" - someone who gets taken advantage of. Your reasons for immigrating to Israel might be met with curious faces. Connections are usually key to opening doors. Network, build relationships, and remember โ it's not who you know, it's who knows you! This is just a glimpse into the vibrant world of Israeli work culture. Every workplace has its own personality, so be open, be curious, and most importantly โ be yourself! Now, let's hear from you! Did I forget anything on my list? What surprised you most about working in Israel? Share your experiences (good, bad, and hilarious) in the comments!
