Project Monarch has officially taken flight! Our groundbreaking celebration on June 20th with Palmdale Water District marked the culmination of a multi-year effort to bring a joint carbon removal and water recovery solution to Southern California. Some highlights from the day: 🦋 Capture6 CEO Ethan Cohen-Cole spoke on his vision for Project Monarch alongside an incredible group of change makers including: Nancy Vogel, Deputy Secretary of Water at the California Natural Resources Agency , Gwendy Brown, Senior Policy Advisor for Elemental Excelerator, Dennis LaMoreaux, General Manager of the Palmdale Water District, and Kathy MacLaren-Gomez, Board President of the Palmdale Water District. 🦋 Our Capture6 team of carbon removers had the opportunity to engage with many members of the Palmdale community, including state representatives and local leaders. 🦋 With hardhats and shovels in hand, the Capture6 and Palmdale Water District teams made a ceremonial first "dent" in bringing large scale carbon removal and water recovery to L.A. County! Another great hop forward for Project Wallaby! 🦘 Our partner Pilot Energy Limited has announced that the Midwest Clean Energy Project (MWCP)—future home of Project Wallaby—has received approval from the Commonwealth Minister for Resources and Minister for Northern Australia to move ahead in its development. The brass tacks: 📌 This declaration enables the MWCEP to develop a storage capacity of 13.4 million tonnes of CO2! 📌 This represents a key de-risking milestone for the project. 📌 In the words of executive chairman Brad Lingo, “this declaration represents a material advancement in the development of Pilot’s Mid West Clean Energy Project and is an exciting milestone for CCS and clean energy production in Australia.” Learn more about Project Wallaby below. #NetZero #Sustainability #Innovation

Today, Fast Company featured Capture6 and Project Monarch in an article by Senior Writer Adele Peters  ⭢ Adele highlights the multifaceted benefits of integrating Project Monarch into Palmdale Water District's new facility, and our unique angle with local communities. We are thrilled to announce a key addition to our commercial team, Director of Development for EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) Louise Bleach! Louise has spent the last 7 years on the founding team of Desolenator - a climate tech scale up specializing in sustainable desalination. Taking the company from concept to infrastructure, her focus was on project development and innovative models to deploy the technology within developing economies. Prior to this, Louise worked in Malawi for the country’s first agri-processing business which linked 150,000 smallholder farmers to international markets. In her spare time, Louise is an avid rock climber and spends most weekends in her camper-van with her husband and 1.5 year old daughter. Louise joins our commercial team, led by CCO Thomas Ricciardi. “I decided to pursue Capture6 because I had never encountered a climate tech company which not only addresses the causes (CO₂) and symptoms (water crisis) of our climate challenge but does so in a manner that is rapidly scalable today.
